After driving 4-5000km last weeks in my e-tron I have to agree that is is great to drive. Up to 16 hours no problemo. Hope to see a full charging tests of this.

Hi Kris, I agree on your summary. After driving 150tkm with MY19/21 and 55 e-tron I drive now since 3months the new Q8 50:as black edition with same 21“. An avg. of 23,7 with lots autobahn in Switzerland I can say that the consumption in avg. is now 2kWh/100km better as the both old one 55. 😊 I am super happy!

Hi Cris, another great video on q8 etron🙏. Since the first etron suv was launched in 2019.. spuld be interesting to see video of how the earlier etron stack up in a test of time and mileage. Would love to watch you cover the highest q8 etron mileage/oldest on the road 🙏🙏🙏🙏

Drove my iX to south of France similar conditions but way higher speed (one stretch averaged at 123km/h meaning I was driving 135 to 140 most of the time for 300km) 22kwh/100km consumption on 22 inch wheels … 1050km, 2 stops 30 minutes 1 stop 25 minutes and arrived with 45% battery … the stops could be shorter but we took our time to eat and drink. I’m convinced the iX 50 is the best car to do road trips …

22 inch wheel is comical, less efficient and, if I can comment on my 21 inch current car, very twitchy on less smooth roads.

@@achmadosman9807 I agree, on my Tesla they where horrible … I changed them to 20 inch … Ugly but worth it in regards to efficiency. Not so with the BMW, the 22 inch are very comfy and are more efficient than the 21 inch wheels. If you really want the eeck out every km, the 20’s are what you need on the BMW, but ugly and not needed as the 22’s from BMW are super efficient

@@MasterChief37 Both the simulator and real world performance confirm it. The reason is that the 22 inch are probably lighter and more aero dynamic … Now BMW even has adjusted the simulator that all 3 (20,21,22) get 307 miles … Anyway I know with the Tesla the 22 where horrible, not with my BMW, I never put my 21inch wheels back on, there at the dealer for good …

Not too bad for a car that’s basically five years old. Like you say, I think the sweet spot is the 20 inch wheels. These 21s doesn’t even look that good IMO, but some of the other ones, and the 22s I particular, do!

I have a 55 Sportback on 21’s and can get 330km, maybe Sportback is a bit easier than the std Etron?

Strange never heard about a modification of the battery between etron 55 and Q8 50 I also think that the increase of net battery is linked to the software and buffer. Are you sure about what you state. Waiting my Q8 50 this year.

Not sure I understand everything you are talking about, but all the battery-specs and info has been available since launch last December.

@@pbxl if it is the same battery pack or not, usable capacity, peak charging speed and charging curve is different. So for all intents and purposes they aren't the same, even if the packs are physically identical.

They for sure tried to save some costs. Heard that the old one had high amount of copper. They also replaced metal recuperation pedals with plastic with the facelift.

You’re testing a vehicle which is past its use by date despite the extensive facelift, the EQE and IX are better vehicles, why don’t you test them?
