My fursona actually started as a dragon, because I was absolutely in love with Spyro the dragon. Then I discovered the furry fandom through an artist who created a very popular Spyro comic, who also drew furry art and had a fursona and what not. Thus evolved my lovely little wolf I have today! (I also have lion fursona because I couldn't leave my love for felines out ;) )

It's really awesome to actually see the development of a character like this! Finding the parts that remain, that changed, that were reintroduced, etc, it's incredibly interesting! Obvs your new and current look is really cool, but of the previous versions I liked the last one before the name change, that looked, like, kinda video game style, simple with the main 3 colours and stuff. This is a really great video showing artistic and personality progress. I would totally recommend this to fellow furs especially those who are newer to personally designing their characters. It's great to show that your first mockup may not always be what you stick with in the long run. I've probably changed my character design about four or five times alone in the past year. I actually had the same crisis you had when I recently changed species from wolf to red panda.

Since we're not talking about changing fursonas and only one character, my sona, Frostfire has only had two forms before her current one. One was drawn by my best friend to get a good feel of what she looked like, then she was redrawn a little differently and stayed like that for nearly a year. Both versions were Sonic characters and were drawn I think a few months apart. Now she's completely different. She is anthro with a fairly new look. The ref is being drawn as we speak by my favorite artist x3 She did definitely start out as a Sonic FC, but since I still love Sonic, I'm not ashamed. Being as I am a writer, her story is what changed more than her look. If we wanna go way back, my character technically started out as a Sonic character who was a ninja (I liked Naruto at the time) and used Halo weapons (I really loved Halo then). Her name was Kat the Huntress who was the same shade of blue as Sonic and had wings, talons, and a scorpion tail. I kept the wings part but I left out the others because it didn't make as much sense. That part was basically as edgy as I could get.

I understand that you think it's cringe but me personally, I love characters that start in one simple spot and grow. all my characters are made cause I need a character. Never because I feel a connection. I wish I had a character to thrive off of. 12 years is an amazing amount of time to grow. My characters I make them and drop them within 2 days, it's sad. I really wish my characters had a long chain of events. now I'm not writing this for pity but I'm writing this to say that Rika is amazing and seeing their story is awesome! For me, I didn't start mine from a sonic OC, (I don't have any OCs to this day, but I did have a bunch of original character concepts in my head, but I didn't feel like doing it) I kinda got into it from Pokemon. I ever since I was 7 years old, I started watching Pokemon. I didn't know the concept of furries, until I was almost 13 years old. So this dates back to 2012 or early 2013... I wanted to just have a tail, so technically I wanted to be a neko (someone with a tail and/or animal ears) than a furry at the time. Then in 2014, I was introduced to Five Nights At Freddy's, by a Gameinformer magazine, which I was reading, and it showed a review of FNAF. So a week later, I downloaded it on my tablet. As a few weeks go by, I've gotten used to the jumpscares. A week after that, I had a crush on Chica. so I looked at some fan-art of Chica on diviantart. I enjoyed some of the artwork. then I started being in the FNAF fandom. I still like FNAF to this day, but not as much as I did a back then. Then I found an animation meme, which I kept watching those types of videos. Fast forward to a year later, I was looking through my suggested videos, and I found a video from Vix, called "how to be a furry," then I found Majira Strawberry's channel from a collaboration video. So I started to be in the furry fandom, but I didn't know much about it. Then in early 2016, I watched their videos pretty often. I started to know more furry channels, such as telephone, booker, and more. then when Zootopia came out, that really got me into the fandom. I liked the plot, and the characters. So the furry fandom has a special place in my heart since then. So in conclusion, I watched Pokemon since I was younger. Next I got introduced into FNAF. Then I got into the furry fandom, thanks to Vix. The main reason why I love furries, and the fandom. Is because it gives me positive vibes from my childhood. It reminds me of the imagination and creativity I had back then. (But I still do, but not as much.)

my ocs progressively changed too. my old oc helium, first was a fox with no skin on his face, so his face was a skull, then later he was a wolf with a deer skull on his face. his real hace was brown, but his left eye is green, and his right is yellow with a scratch mark on it. the things that never changed were his whit wings and hisbrown fur, and i guess the skull like face. oh and later, i added stripes down his body and the one of the eyes on his skull had a heart pupil and a white one. yup, he changed a lot and i cringe too.

Better considering my fursona came from a Godzilla fanfiction story I was writing where a woman goes into a doctor’s office to get a flu shot but what she didn’t know was inside the flu shot was also a dose of G cells(which is like the DNA of Godzilla) so she goes through a metamorphosis through the next few hours where she starts growing scales which leads to hair loss but somehow spikes form that act as her new hair until eventually she starts to grow to 500 feet and becomes like a Godzilla human hybrid who fights Godzilla himself and the reason why the doctor put the G cells in her flu shot was because the Japanese government was trying to make something that could fight Godzilla. Later I changed the design to a blue half human half dragonand origin a bit where the American government was trying to make a secret super weapon in times of desperate measures. Than I changed the origin and finally changed the design. So yeah.

My fursona started as a white wolf with grey legs and a grey shark tail. As well as black tipped ears, a grey shark dorsal fin, 2 "fin-like" fingers, and turquoise eyes. It was named Sharkwolfie (don't ask). Now it is a black wolf with one turquoise eye and one purple eye, with a shark tail with turquoise and purple stripes, 4 fingered paws, with turquoise claws, and lots of other features. Her name is Akula. (shark translated into Russian with google translate). Sorry this is kind of a long comment but I just wanted to tell you guys. I first made my fursona Crystel when i was 7 for the game WolfQuest and my first pic of her was made in ms paint.
