I think a big part of the chemistry between Lucas and Maya are that the actors themselves have great chemistry between them but the writers wrote Lucas and Riley to have cute moments. (Though... I am an avid Lucaya shipper. lol I'm just afraid Rucas will be endgame so if that's the plan, I don't want to be completely deveatated.)

i think they made the rucaya thing happen cuz they wanna spice up the show or maybe they ran out of topics. yes they learn little lessons but the main thing happening was the love triangle. It is all about rucus! maya is in love with josh and I want that as the endgame.

I used to like Lucaya and hate Rucas because I thought that it was a stupid ship to sail on but now that the Lucaya ship has let me jump off and not save me and the Rucas ship came to save me now I am on the Rucas ship and the Lucaya ship is going the other detection thank you Rucas fans for opening my eyes and showing me that LUCAS and RILEY are perfect for each other and there end game and that I should stop being with Lucaya and go be with Rucas love this video great job :) live this ship as well :)

if Lucaya were to happen- like Lucas and maya became bf and gf, they are just throwing away all the Rucas moments: their first date, the kiss, "I really like you Riley", the writers cannot just throw all of that away. And it's the same way for Lucaya too, they can't throw away that campfire scene. Probably, while the writers had Rucas or even Lucaya falling in love, they wrote something to change that and make one or none endgame. Lucaya does have a bigger fan base but the writers probably were planing on later episodes and who the ships were before they aired the first episode. another show that did this was HIMYM. they knew how and with who they wanted to end the show with. Ted and robin were not first loves but were the first love interests of each other on the show. things did and didn't work out throughout the series. in the absolute last episode, they end up together bc the mother has passed away and teds kids say to go for it. something like this might happen to them.

Jane b Farkle understands Riley in a way no one else does and he can read her the way Lucas or Maya can't. They don't have to hide their negative emotions from each other like I feel the way Lucas does. When Farkle was getting bullied she was the first to come to his rescue and is very quick to have his back and she gave him a hug but when Lucas was called a disgrace she agreed and wanted him to ride the bull. Plus Riley was thinking of Farkle in Girl Meets Home for the Holidays? Why wasn't she thinking of Lucas? Farkle then says "What you are thinking is what you really feel?" So what is she think when she said Farkle. Also Riley said "For the rest of our lives lets never settle for anyone less than Farkle." Why would Riley of all people say that line if she likes Lucas. Also at cheer try outs Farkle was the only one rooting for her and plus I just think he brings out the best in Riley. He also doesn't need to check on Riley with other friends he just does because he cares. Besides Maya and Farkle have we seen Riley being checked on by her friends when they weren't in a group?

Also I know it is not everything but there is something there and also Farkle says "All these things we are feeling are new I don't know what they are yet?." So I am guessing Riley doesn't know she likes Farkle and he doesn't know he only loves Riley. Also Riarkle is better than Smarkle because Isadora is constantly flirting with Lucas and every other guy and she is supposed to be Farkle's girlfriend I am becoming annoyed with her.
