Elvis made a ton of money in Hollywood, he also recorded at RCA studios in L.A. not only the movie songs but other songs plus he rehearsed there for TTWII & did interviews for Elvis On Tour, he lived there & had several homes in California. Sure, he joked about it calling it Hollyweird but it’s probably from the films he had to do & he didn’t like many of the bubble gum songs for the movies he had to sing. Just a note, he also recorded in Nashville, Memphis & at Graceland. Elvis always wanted to be an actor so he knew it was a natural thing to live in L.A. while filming etc. Even after his movie days he continued to have homes there & stay there. As for your ridiculous comment about California lefty, LOL Elvis was the epitome of going against the grain! He was born into extreme poverty, his Daddy was sent to prison, & he was bullied for his long hair, his music, the way he dressed, etc, however his fandom grew so much so quickly that the government feared his power which is why he (an only child, the only son, he literally cared for his parents) was DRAFTED right in the height of his growing success. (Ronald Reagan was an actor too & was Gov of California & then POTUS) Elvis loved JFK, RFK & MLK, he was related to President Jimmy Carter & called him often, he also had a friendship with LBJ & they sent gifts to each other. LBJ’s daughter visited Elvis on his movie set. Folks get this notion that since he was from the South & liked guns, & that he took off on a whim to DC because he argued with his wife and father about HIS money (plus his girlfriend Joyce Bova worked in DC) that he met Nixon & took some photos with him that he was a R. The fact is, he never took a side, he didn’t vote because he didn’t want to influence anyone, he wanted people to think on their own. Elvis was the highest taxed person & had no problem paying it. He would let tax man right into his home & hid nothing. He was proud to pay his part! His generosity is well known but he never used his gifts as a tax write off. He said if he did, then it meant the gifts weren’t from him. (Don’t think there’s many republicans who share his view) Also, in the early days of his career, it was the conservatives who really hated him. They called him terrible names etc. (kinda like your OJ today ~ your orange jesus as his maga cult call Don Vonshitzenpants) Elvis was his own man & gave a lot of charitable gifts without fanfare & many times without anyone’s knowledge. He looked for stories in the newspaper for folks in need & many times donated anonymously. He gave gifts to the police at Christmas but also gave to anyone incarcerated who wanted his help from anything from helping their families to providing legal assistance. Elvis had a huge heart & enjoyed helping others. He knew how it felt to be without, to have no place to live, to be bullied, to live in public housing. Elvis loved music, God, his family, friends and his fans. As for Scientology, he often checked other spiritual beliefs out & said about Scientology; ‘They’re all head and no heart! All they want is my f¥ckin’ money!’ Lisa & Ben officially left Scientology. Ben said they f¥ck a kids head up! It was Priscilla Wagner Beaulieu who forced Lisa into Scientology. Lisa has also said in old interviews what her mother’s boyfriends tried to do to her (because she’s Elvis’ daughter) Lisa’s memoir now has the details however this is a known fact. Lisa has said it a few interviews but no one either cared about it or didn’t think it was true, I guess. How sad is that!?! Lisa loved her Daddy like her Daddy loved his Mama! Gladys would follow Elvis to school & anyone who might mess with him had to deal with her! Lisa is a lot like her Grandma, Gladys. Elvis loved his Mama & he loved & protected his lil Princess Yisa! Lil button nose! -•~•~•~•~•~•~ “Until We Meet Again, May God Bless You, As He Has Blessed Me’ ‘Adios’ Elvis Presley TCB⚡️TLC⚡️

The Presley genes are strong. Amazing Lisa-Marie raised an amazing daughter in Riley Keough. Her father, Danny, comes across as a beacon of strength and stability in their lives. I hope Riley takes the Elvis element of her lineage seriously and begins to take ownership of his legacy and be proud of it. She is extremely brave to finish her mother's memoir, grieve her, grieve her brother, face a lawsuit from her grandmother and raise her own daughter too as well as take on the business aspect of co-owning 15% of it. There will be millions of Elvis fans who do not agree to Priscilla Beaulieu being buried with Elvis at Graceland. They were long divorced by the time of his death and she wasn't supposed to start using his name again. If anyone deserves to be buried there, it would be Danny, when the time comes to be laid beside his son, Benjamin.
@jkap342 ай бұрын
I don't know anything you just said, but okay. I agree
@LC-fx2lo2 ай бұрын
It's not really the fans business where Priscilla is buried. It's the family's business. Priscilla lived at Graceland. She is the Mother of Lisa Marie, The Grandmother of Benjamin and Riley, and yes, she was married to Elvis, and kept Graceland going and his legacy alive all of these years, while maintaining respect for him. They were also close even after they got divorced. If Riley doesn't have a problem with her being buried with her family, there is no reason a fan should have an opinion on it. We all loved Elvis, but being a fan of a celebrity doesn't give you any kind of ownership of them.
@theapavlou30302 ай бұрын
@@LC-fx2lo it is absolutely the fans business because we support the business and Priscilla allowed Riley's mother, Lisa-Marie, to be sexually abused regularly by her boyfriend Mike Edwards from around age 10. You obviously condone that treatment of a child by her mother and her drugged up, nutjob boyfriend? Also Priscilla left Graceland because she hated it, she stole Elvis's personal effects and sold them to line her pockets, she stole from Lisa and her grandchildrens estate but she wants to be buried with the man she divorced and took to the cleaners TWICE. It's our business so we can decide if we go visit once or twice per year or if us overseas fans will ever make the journey from the other side of the world for a once in a lifetime trip to oay their respects to the Presley family. Priscilla has not been a Presley for over 50 years, she was told to stop using his name. It may be not your business, but it's mine and millions of others who loved and supported Lisa & Elvis. Show some respect, if you know what that means. Nice. Well done to you. They should be in prison.
@theapavlou30302 ай бұрын
@@LC-fx2loit is absolutely our business, we can then decide to make the trip of a lifetime or not. If thst snake is buried there, millions of people will boycott the site. It was Vernon's idea and plan to open Graceland, not Priscilla's. Little fact for you. Priscilla hated Graceland, that's why she left. People have it from Lisa-Marie herself and endorsed by Riley, that Priscilla allowed Lisa-Marie to be sexually abused by her druggie nutjib boyfriend, Mike Edwards. What part of that do you condone? Lisa-Marie's story deserves to be told, just because you've been spoonfed Priscilla's fertile imagination and lies for 50 years doesn't mean we all blindly believe her. We used to but she has been caught out telling roo many lies and embellishing her story (for the film Priscilla) for dramatic effect. Feel free not to care, but I guarantee you most mothers, daughters sisters and normal people care about that stuff. Especially since she's always trying to paint Elvis as being a predator yet she happily lived with one and subjected her own daughter to it. A 10 year old girl with a POS hands all over her? Regularly left eith him? You're fine with that, I'm not. Scroll past if its not your business. In support of Lisa, Elvis, Riley, Finley, Harper. Benjamin & Danny.... it is VERY MUCH my business because I want to see the site but would spit on her grave if she is buried anywhere near that poor man. She's ruined his name. She was unstable as a teenager, and still leeching off a dead man who she bled dry.

With much sincere love and genuine utmost respect for those unaware it would do wonders for Riley and Lisa's other 2 daughters mental health, individulality, and future if they weren't compared in any sense to their lovely Mother and Grandfather. I completely understand the love for Elvis, and wanting to hold on to Elvis but he himself had the extreme pressures of living up to a image he created, then fans of Elvis wanted him thru his Daughter and actually Lisa's son Benjamin went thru it as well since he had favored his Grandfather. I've seen the same pattern happening with the twin daughters of Lisa's. I'm close friends with a late Country singers son, he expierenced the same and it takes a toll. Hearing the constant statements of - "you look just like your dad, you sing like your dad, your smile, way you talk, do this and that is like your dad". I know it's done with good intentions, and with unawareness, so to inform you it actually has opposite affect. What happens is they don't get acknowledged for who they are as a individual, it's as though they become a ghost, are seen as the parent or sibling celebrity that they're receiving compliments for. Imagine for a moment doing something we have a deep passion for, that our parent or sibling was well known for, and all we ever heard was about our parent or sibling. Some may answer they'd be ok with it but believe me please, after thousands of statements and years of it, it would eventually get to you. May Riley and her two Sisters have a healing and beautiful future.💖💖💖 All of my love and respect ❤🙌🕊

Yes! However, Lisa has stated in interviews over the years how her mother’s boyfriends would try things with her & more, because she was Elvis’ daughter. It’s hard to repeat what Lisa said because KZbin might block my comment if used. My point is, Lisa has made these claims over the years & no one seemed to care basically. Like she was yelling it from the mountain tops to deaf ears. IMO I believe Priscilla would tell editors or interviewers on the side, oh don’t listen to her, she probably on something or something to that effect. I remember Lisa making these accusations but back then, there wasn’t social media or KZbin or anything for anyone or for fans to post anything in support of her. Over the years, she didn’t say it anymore probably because why ... no one really cares perhaps she thought and/or Priscilla did her share of telling her to be quiet. This is all so sad. Lisa & Ben had officially left the cult of Scientology. According to Ben’s friend,, Ben had said something to the effect of, Scientology really f*cks up a kids head. Both tortured souls who, even with their popularity, tried to scream it out but it fell upon deaf ears. When Elvis checked out Scientology, he ran out saying, ‘they’re all head and no heart, all the want is my f*ckin’ money!’ Priscilla joined that cult AFTER Elvis died & also changed her name back to Presley. Elvis didn’t want her to use his last name when they divorced. And he would have been against Lisa being raised in Scientology. As for anyone hurting his daughter, well, we all know Elvis wouldn’t tolerate that & his TCB⚡️ would have been just that! Elvis was Lisa’s protector!

I couldn't work out who the man was in the audio book, and then I realised it was Lisa sounding really rough. The drugs must have really affected her in the end. Riley is a credit to her father.

In her interview with Oprah and other interviews Riley always says my mother's father or Elvis. I never hear her say my grandfather. Or use the word grandfather Why? It's because of her grandfather that she has alot of money and is famous. I feel she has some kind of resentment towards Elvis

How come no one has mentioned that Julia Robert’s does the audiobook?

Beautiful interview but I though they were going to discuss a little more about the book. There's serious topics that Lisa wanted us to know and they are just being ignored.

I’m going to visit Graceland this Saturday with Trips, Inc, and I would like to buy The book”From Here to the Great Unknown” as a Christmas present from me, Riley, and her late mother to my cousin in the memory of his late brother. And I hope that one day I will meet Riley Keough at Graceland.

Why on earth would anyone allow Priscilla Presley to be buried close to Elvis who never wanted her back which she has always lied about and have her buried next to the daughter whom she didn't believe was being abused. I can't understand why Elvis and Lisa Marie would be so disrespected by having that woman buried anywhere close to them!
