sorry I have a LOT of feelings about Camila and Hexsquad and wanted to make something about it bc I realized "hey I know how to make things !!" I imagine this is maybe a couple days or so after they re-establish a working portal with the Collector's help between the Human and Demon Realms.

Must be rough for Camila. She’s so used to having the Hexsquad and her future daughter-in-law staying with her and her daughters in the house. It’s so nice seeing she considers them family. Willow and Gus being her daughter’s friends, Hunter being their brother, and Amity being Luz’s girlfriend. She really loved having them around. Nothing is more precious in life than being with the family you made together. In Dom Toretto’s words: *“There’s nothing more important than Family.”*

Not only was this gorgeous and heartwarming as usual, but the timing was perfect. I've really been missing this show the past few days. Not only that, but my older sister moved out yesterday and my younger brother is leaving the state later this week. It's nice to be reminded that just because you can't see something or someone that matters to you, doesn't mean either of you stop existing in the other's life.

This is a very heartwarming short. I absolutely love that Camila misses Willow, Gus, Amity, and Hunter and she does consider them family. And I love that Vee is the one who came up with the idea to have them come over for a sleepover in order to cheer her up. Also, notice how the first and last shot involve a bird nest. Why? Well, in the first shot. We see two baby birds resting with four eggs still yet to be hatched. Then in the final shot, we see all six eggs have hatched with the Mama bird resting with them and keeping them warm. EDIT: 5:59 That part is now offical based on a live stream recently with Dana herself.

"I LOVE ideas that require whispering" is just such a Luz line, really nailed that one. And everything else in this animatic but I really appreciated that in particular, along with her learning "hand on face, hand licked" from Hunter. The scene where Camila and Vee hug and kind of finalize the found family adoption is sooo cute, as well as Camila's little concerns for Hunter--and everyone else, but she seemed especially worried about him. Really good animatic.

Such a beautiful animatic. The transitions, the scenery, everything on point, loving the first and last frames with the mama bird and her babies, with the others coming later to hatch and join the warm embrace. Also the thing with Hunter loving banana-nut muffins, such a mama thing. It's a shame 3rd season was cut short, we could've some interacting episodes with Camila and the HexSquad having family moments, probably Amity having some awkward moments because her actual mother wasnt exactly a good one, and doesnt know much what is to have one that is, and so on, including this a few months after the Battle for the Boiling Isles.

Ahhhh this was so full of cute moments and lines and ideas!! Even if the nest is now not as full as it once was at the Noceda household, the door will always be open to the additional four kids that called it their home for a short time in their lives! I love that Vee came up with the sweet idea to have a sleepover as a surprise to cheer her mom up after missing the other kids throughout the day! The asked question of how Camila got so lucky to have two amazing daughters will forever be a mystery, but it's awesome she did. ❤✨

Dang, that was amazing! You're a really incredible storyboarder! My favourite part was getting to see Luz and Vee interact more; I know that the show's writers made the very best of what little time they had to finish the story in season three, but I really wish that we had been able to see Luz and Vee act like sisters more. The scene of the two of them conspiratorially organizing a sleepover was my favourite part of the animatic; I loved the dialogue throughout the whole storyboard, but Luz's, "Oh, I love ideas that require whispering!" line was my favourite, and the boarding for Vee shushing her was just hilariously perfect.

This is such a beautiful, sweet, and well done Owl House animatic from start to finish 🥺🥹💜✨️. This really shows how much Vee really cares for Camila after she adopted her. I like how you addressed the fact that Hunter wanted to still keep his hair short. I really think if his hair did grow back at some point it (like it did during the timeskip), he would want it to be on it's own and not anything Belos/Caleb related. I loved how when Camila saw the sewing machine, and it reminded her of Hunter, she was concerned for him after everything that happened in Thanks To Them 🥺😔. I also loved that when Vee covered Luz's mouth with her hand, Luz licked her hand, like Hunter did in Hunting Palismen. Riley, you made my day with this amazing Owl House fan animatic.

THIS MAKES MY HEART SO MUSHY INSIDE?! How did you manage to create such a wholesome story that encapsulates the show so perfectly, artstyle, characterization, and all?! IN UNDER 8 MINUTES, MAY I ADD?!? Going to get real gushy here in a second I just need a moment to process- time for an essay comment! Okay okay so, I think TOH made me really start to understand the found family trope in a way I've never seen it before, and it's why Thanks to Them is my favorite episode from the show. It's just sweet to see a group of really close friends being in a home together where they can still be kids, despite all the trauma they've all been through (or have yet to experience *cough* Hunter possession. Being separated from their parents. The Isles being crumbled apart.) On a similar note, I just think Camila is a really amazing mother figure and obviously cares deeply about her daughter's friends, even if they were staying for a short while. Even with 6 kids to take care of, she took the time to make sure everyone was happy in her care. She's heavily underappreciated in my eyes because of this, and I love how she went to the Demon Realm to sort of chaperone the Hexsquad around, not just for Luz's sake so she could convince her not to permanently stay on Earth, but for everyone else's, too. And although we didn't get to see Vee. At all. After the episode (not counting the finale credits scene, ofc) She's still my favorite character. Hands down!! I feel robbed that we never got to see any real interactions with the other kids Camila was fostering at the time! Especially since she stayed behind on Earth; we never got to see what she was up to while everyone was away! I just really wanted to see more of these two and we never got the chance because of the shortened season! But here, you ABSOLUTELY DELIVERED. It's everything I wanted to see in an actual TOH episode and more! Every. Single. Thing. I'm FLOORED by the symbolism, emotion and storytelling! My favorite headcannon is Vee getting adopted by Camila so her and Luz could be foster sisters! And their dynamic here just screams YES. THEY'RE SIBLINGS!! They're SCHEMING TOGETHER. It's just adorable! Especially at the end, when Vee has a heart to heart with Camila and IT MADE ME SOB?!?! IT'S SO WHOLESOME?!? I STILL TEAR UP THINKING ABOUT IT. I'M FULLY ACCEPTING THIS ANIMATIC AS CANON. THERE'S NO WAY IT ISN'T. Anyways, wrapping this up! I LOVE YOUR ANIMATICS. THEY INSTANTLY BOMBARD ME WITH SEROTONIN.
