I've got a 2006 boxer and it did this to me when I did my filter. I had to take it to the garage to sort it. Crap design.

Just done mine, no need to remove anything, just need a short 13mm offset or a short reversable offset rachet spanner.

Any high pressure diesel engine with common rail won't run right if any leaks are there. Good work

Manufactures today are making car & trucks as cheaply as possible. Main concern is cost. The buyer is left with needed repair. But the customer is not forgetting bad quality autos. Many will never buy that brand again.

ive had them leak on 2 separate fuel filter changes(with special too) ,,now just bite the bullet and buy the whole unit with filter,,clip in clip out
