@Franco Pedro I really appreciate your reply. I found the site thru google and Im in the hacking process now. I see it takes quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.

Very nice. Although I've flyfished for 42 years and am reasonably competent I guess, I've mostly ignored the use of emergers. No doubt to my detriment. I will certainly tie a few of these in various colours and sizes.

Get a fine paint brush and you will have a lifrtime supply of tailing fibers. You can find olive and gray too.

Thanks for the video. Could you tell me if you fish this fly like Rim Chung does? If not, what kind of rigging do you use when you wish to fish an RS2 deep in the water column?

Really like the split tail trick thanks.

When I saw the title "worlds best trout fly", I initially refused to click on this post. Everyone knows that the world's best trout fly is the Red Shadow

Greg, Does it ever seem like the dubbing wax makes it trickier to form the dubbing noodle? It looked like it got a bit messy in this video. Whats the advantage to using wax versus licking your fingers?

By now you have probably answered yourself? If not like this and I will help.

Uh, that is a fly Polly Rosborough developed in the 1930's. It is on the cover of his book. Polly used the same hackle fluff. He did not use microfibets for the tail, but the nylon paintbrush fibers make the fly less effective anyway because they are too stiff and stiff-arm a trout's mouth.

while i like some of your ideas on how to tie this fly Rim Chung would not tie this fly in the manner you have chosen not saying its wrong just not the way Rim Chung would tie it! I prefer to tie how Rim Chung ties it just sayin!!
@AnglersAll2 жыл бұрын
No worries, we can certainly respect that opinion. It's impossible to top Rim's way of tying the RS2, that's for sure!

There isn't any. It's a good fly but yeah. Click bait title.

If you tie it without explaining it is a three minute fly. How rude!

The title is “How to tie”, it wouldn’t be very instructional if he tied it in 2 minutes without explaining anything

Rim Chung's video (SHORT version clocks in at 11:49 mins) and he's the inventor of this fly. I'd rather watch this length of video than somebody that cracks it out in 2 minutes (which probably would look horrendous, btw) and not explain anything useful or wise. 2 years since you posted but just thought you should know what a dumb comment you made, and still left it up for the world to make fun of.
