3rd motorcycle tire change this year, but my first time doing it on the 2014 fjr1300es. Your video is the best I've found and is greatly appreciated. Simple and clear instructions. Hope these tires go back on the rims without issue so I can get a test ride in today.

best r/r wheel vid I ever watched. I use a bungie cord to suspend the calipers thus reducing any stress on the brake lines while hanging

Thanks for all your videos on the FJR Mike. I've just picked one up and i'm going through it all with help of your videos. They're easy to follow and have helped me alot. I'm finding workin on the Fjr enjoyable and easier to work on than other bikes. Thanks again. Sam

Your welcome. I think the bike doesn't get the recognition it should get. It drives great. And yes it's easy to work on. Enjoy...

Great video! No extraneous talk. After watching, I think I may be able to do this myself. To save a step, do you really need to remove the ABS sensor from the ABS plate, or could you leave it attached and hanging?

Hello, yes you could, but at the risk of damaging the wire. Mike

Obviously a Gen1 bike which is what I have too (bonus) 2005. Your bike is so freakin' clean - like brand new! Good job (I'd rather be riding, lol!). I have to do my tires for the first time. Can you please tell me why you have to remove the front calipers when the wheel will roll forward away from them? Thanks for the great video(s)! 💖 🇨🇦 Saskatchewan. Edit: someone answered this for me so I get it (kinda stupid question, sorry 😞) thanks again! (Note: the calipers are 'inside' the wheel rim)

@ 4:02 - the rim looks like it has a 'deflection' at about 11:00. 70 year old eyes still working ok 🙂 Just getting ready for a 6000 km round trip in mid-May in Canada. Hope the spring is warmer than last year, lol. Put the Oxford heated grips on jic 🙂 Subbed, thanks!

Yes, the rim had a slight bend in it when I bought the bike. Never had any problems. Drives fine. Put 50,000 on the bike since I got it.

2 hours to get the front wheel off. For the life of me I cannot get that pig to go on to the center stand! I used my do-it-all floor jack and a piece of wood under the pipes and carefully jacked it up until I could get it on the center stand. Then used the floor jack to elevate the front wheel enough to get the ABS sensor housing off. Done. I can see belts through the rubber ... is that the sign I'm looking for? Got some Conti Road Attack III's front and rear (GT versions). Top rated tires here and there.

Hello, yes it's difficult to get the bike on the center stand. There is a grip point near the seat lock, but I still have problems. It's not in a position that is balanced. I wound up popping my knee trying to do it. I now get my wife to pull on the back of the bike when I try to use the center stand.

@@mikesfjrcorner7129 Thanks! Glad it's not just me then! I had another bike with a similar issue, BMW K100RS. Told my buddy - he laughed, called me a 'weakling' - got him to try...his face was scarlet by the time he gave up, never did get it. The floor jack with a piece of plank with 3/8" foam on top under the pipes where they first descend from the engine worked fine for me. You can work the jack with one hand while steadying the bike with the other.

Hello, I have the venom lifts from eBay. However, the lift with the two forks can scratch the hub plates and the end of the forks. When I did this video I repainted the hubs. It's also difficult to set and I also had it start to slip. I just modified the front lift to use the flat lift ends and I moded the end with pins that fit into the hole on the bottom of the fork. You just have to remove the pinch bolt first in order for the pins to fit all the way in What I suggest is to look for a pin based front lift like on this link on Amazon. www.amazon.com/Black-Widow-Front-Motorcycle-Stand/dp/B01COJ5VRG/ref=mp_s_a_1_41?crid=1ORBVDJ2IHWXM&keywords=front+motorcycle+lift+stand+pin&qid=1675425423&sprefix=front+motorcycle+lift+stand+pin%2Caps%2C125&sr=8-41&ufe=app_do%3Aamzn1.fos.006c50ae-5d4c-4777-9bc0-4513d670b6bc My original venom lift. www.amazon.com/Venom-Motorcycle-Paddock-Universal-Kawasaki/dp/B0077T23IO/ref=mp_s_a_1_5?crid=X886J1LGP9CZ&keywords=front+motorcycle+lift+stand+venom&qid=1675425617&sprefix=front+motorcycle+lift+stand+venom+%2Caps%2C117&sr=8-5&ufe=app_do%3Aamzn1.fos.006c50ae-5d4c-4777-9bc0-4513d670b6bc
