That reminds me of my younger days 30 odd years ago we would bring in 150 - 200 rabbits every weekend from a 50 acre property and this went on for quite a few years. The farm was so riddled with warrens you had to watch your step or you could break a leg very quickly. The local butcher loved us as we only took head shots... Fond memories.

I'd like to know what people find so wrong with shooting rabbits? I shoot and eat rabbits, pigeons and dove... I'd rather kill it myself than go to the butchers and not know where it's came from... At least when I shoot it myself, I know that it's free range and I can see the condition of the animal before I skin it and eat it. Also, farmers wouldn't make any money if hunters didn't kill some of these animals as pigeons poo in the cow feed and it can harm the calves.. They also eat the crop seeds which stops the crop from growing. Rabbits burrow under the crops and eat them, they also spread myxomatosis. You will go to the shop and buy meat but you won't kill it to eat it... How can you call me crazy? I think anyone who disagrees needs to look at the bigger picture.

@davidm3maniac2015 жыл бұрын
Farmers and pestcontrollers can normally obtain FAC. unless you have criminal record or have mental issues. They dont give firearms certificates to anyone in other words. Loads of checks are done on you and if you have a valid reason and no convictions etc then you have a chance. There is different classes of firearms. Your local looney will not get one but then you can always buy a illegal one if you know the right people

Wow! I loved the scenery and well placed shots. I would have to say that 160 or so rabbits shot in 1day with 2bolt action rifles might be a world record! I think that the .22lr is 1 of my favorite rounds. I buy 500 rounds for about $10 & have shot everything from chipmunk to Fox and the real bonus for me is using a Marlin semi-auto with tube magazine capacity of 19bullets plus 1in chamber is only the icing on the cake to the accuracy and quietness of the round. If anyone hears a shot they think it's a firecracker and dismiss it. The .17 has its place but for the sheer amount of rabbits you guys had to shoot, you can't beat a great .22 long rifle. Great shooting and what a day you guy's had! PS, where in the bell did u put all those bunnies?

They don't do a rim-fire in the CZ 527, just centre fire. More likely a CZ 452, or the newer CZ 455 in .22lr. I'm puzzled why they needed to use such long barrels. With those moderators, they looked more like an RPG! Not that I'm knocking their shooting ability, as both were very good. At .22lr ranges, long barrels are just a hinderence. I use a CZ 452 with a 16" factory barrel, and achieve just as good shots at a fair distance. Still, each to their own...

@Dakarn8 жыл бұрын
Rabbits are tasty. Rabbits also breed.. well... like Rabbits. Rabbits start producing litters at only 6 months old. They gestate for 30 days before having a litter between 4 and 9 kits (babies). The female then can start mating THE NEXT DAY! It is possible for one female rabbit to produce around 96 kits per year. So, let's say that half of those 96 (48) are female... 1x96 = 96/2 = 49x96 (year 2, original rabbit, plus the now fertile offspring) = 4,906. Now... you won't have 5,000 rabbits in 2 years running around a farm of 500 acres.. that's just the theoretical number of rabbits you could have if they all bred to their potential. So.. they become a nuisance to farmers, since the rabbits will eat all the crops. Cull the rabbits, the survivors will move and start again somewhere else.
have you ever had a meal of fried rabbit? I`m telling you, it doesn`t get much better

Texas heart shot on a rabbit or any animal should be a no no, the contents of the stomach / bowl destroys and contaminates the meat. If an animal is going to be shot for meat or cull they still deserve respect it death, there should be no rush in the shot if your going to shoot have the animal side on for the shot. Are you for real?
@porty5009 жыл бұрын
Theo Price Totally for real my tin can airgun 'more powerful than a 9mm' shooting little friend. Rule no.1 in any shooting is backstop, backstop, backstop. Too many times in this video we saw livestock in the background or the firing line. I've been shooting nearly 30 years and many times I've let deer, rabbits, pigs goats etc go because the backstop in my opinion wasn't good enough or there was doubt in my mind. Safety comes first every time. If you don't practice this every time you shoot its time to hand in your license. These clowns are a prime example of 2 firearm licenses too many.
