If you keep the colony worth low, you can survive a long time just by having your colonists fight back, even without turrets or mortars. Also, using buildings and other defenses to your advantage.

I miss catchin you on twitch dude, I have been working like crazy. but I like comin home and being able to watch your colony since I don't have time for mine. Dat cliffhanger... bitch :P Also Etalyx, use some utility mods man. If you want to keep this playthrough pure, get some for the next one. There are some hauling mods for example; haul urgently, stack merger, pick up and haul and a few more. Other than hauling, there is one food preference mod which I'd really suggest, otherwise your pets will eat your food no matter how many kibble there are. So many good mods out there that kinda patch up the shortcomings of the game :) I'm kinda new around here, apologizes if you used mods before. Also, you've quickly become one of my fav. tubers.
