What a good video. Yeah, I never assumed that every area had to look dark and dreary in order to have a dark story to it. This theory that you came up with definitely opened my eyes to a lot more than I was thinking about. Once again, great video!

The art direction sure is a drastic shift in tone but it doesn't mean it wouldn't fit within WuWa's world. However, they need to nail the writing for 2.0 and make it believable. As well as balance the modern and classical aspects when designing everything. In Jinzhou, modern and traditional aspects blends so well together. From the architecture to the character designs. In Rinascita, it felt like a city frozen in time with very little modern touches. Something akin to Final Fantasy. I honestly thought that they're gonna go with Gothic Victorian vibe due to its post-apocalyptic genre. With that said, considering Rinascita (or Ragunna) is just one city, then other cities might as well be inspired by other european architecture. With that said, it's too early to judge. I am optimistic though. Even in PGR, there are factions like Kowloong and Akdilek, that has traditional elements mixed with modern elements. There's also World Government Association of Art which handles art and culture even funding plays and operas as well as other creative endeavors. They made them fit within PGR's world due to the writing and I expect the same for Rinascita. Great video btw!

There were five global laments and hundreds of thousands of local ones, hence why some regions will be more affected more recently than others.

the problem in WuWa are not the world design but the story. before released WuWa already build up image as dark, mature, gritty impression game but at released its changed thus make many dissappointed. because 1.1-1.4 its become shonen-like and too much rover glazing, the lively trailer of Raguna give them expectation its will be turn out the same thing, another shonen like and rover glazing which many players already getting tired off in 2.0 as long as KURO focus more on lores, characters interactions, and less rover glazing most players will happy about it because the change can be seen. but if it the same with rover glazing, then expect same complaints happen in next patch.

Story is just subjective/personal opinion tbh, you'll see someone (minority/majority) who like/hate this direction of story. What Kuro must do is to improve the Storytelling, like what they do in 1.1 to 1.4. The Storytelling already good but some people misinterpreted Character line and action.

@@PIxelTreeTV what I mean is, the people who complaint about rinascita trailer like that, mainly because how the story so far. like, imagine if KURO actually deliver the story in 1.0-1.4 dark, mature, gritty impressions successfully. the reveal of current rinascita will get different impression. many will actually react "not going to fall for such lively atmospheres, Raguna must be hidding something". but with current story directions, ppl cant confidently say that

KURO storytelling already good, its the story that lacking, especially on lores part that I believe thanks to story rework. what we have today pretty much surface level/introduction lores, which didnt give enough informations for players discusing thing. that why jinzhou didnt really hook players there lot of stuff in jinzhou that can be made as quest for expanding lores. for example, giant banyan tree, what the lore behind it? how old the tree? why there many human size cages in there? what the story behind feilian beringal? etc. but what we got simply "current problem" quest removing spores(even if it good quest)

Story/Lore about something can be added, but if you say "When?" or ""How?", I'll let them cook themself because we only explore 1 city of Huanglong. And then in BS, there is some member that we don't meet yet, so there will be more story from BS.
