Hi Paul, thank you for another excellent video, this brought back many happy memories from what has been one of the best walks / climbs of my life. One point for the unwary: you finished the video at the peak of number 4 (Sgurr a' Mhaim). When we did this we were out for about ten hours, and I remember the descent from number 4 back to the car was a real slog, perhaps nearly 3 hours, over uneasy terrain. A shame in a way because up to the fourth peak it was just continuous enjoyment. There is always something........... Thanks again, J

Thanks John, that's really kind and like you this is probably been one of my favourite walks...you are absolutely right, the descent was horrendous!,, it took us over an hour and a half to get down. Did the devil’s ridge solo in winter conditions in Oct 94 ish. Walking off into Glen Nevis I got the piss taken out of my bright goretex jacket and salopettes by English knights on the set of Braveheart. One of the more surreal days on the hills.

Great stuff Paul. This is a truly amazing route. I remember really struggling going up Am Bodach! You were wise to park at lower Glen Nevis. We didn’t and had that walk at the end which was a killer after 9 hours! Love the “ohh” bit at the end with the dip in the water. I bet that felt good !!!

When I did it we parked at lower glen nevis but went in the opposite direction so had the long slog back up to the lower car park at the end. The end of a great week in Feb 2010 with cold clear days all week , the avalanche risk in the corries and on the climb approaches was 4+ most of the week so we were stuck with ridge walks.

Yes, driving up next week and aiming for Skye. I booked a guide last year to do the Munro’s. Couldn’t have done them without their help. Anyway I just thought Skye was fabulous and whilst I was after bagging the Munro’s I thought another visit was justified before I get too much longer in the tooth. So hoping to attempt a traverse of the Black Cuillin. May be a step too far! Will base myself in Skye for three weeks but hoping to to take a look at the Munro’s just to the east of Skye. Haven’t done any of them except Beinn Sgritheall. Are you heading that way over the next few weeks by any chance?

@@charlesrobert9527 fantastic mate!! That will be an epic trip! Skye is amazing as you know! We have a guide booked for 4 days the last week in May for the cuillin! I can’t wait. Planned a trip on the weekend of the 22nd with the guys to do An Teallach and Liatach. Not sure of next week though. Will see what the weather brings.
