I have tinnitus and have a background in physio. Two hearing tests reveal normal hearing. I think it might be cervical or TMJ related. The pitch changes with mastication and cervical rotation. Thanks for posting.

This is very interesting. I am an NHS ( RETIRED) psychotherapist and very aware of perception and biases, etc. Six months ago, a front head posture developed, causing severe neck and shoulder pain and stiffness. I have had tinnitus since aged eight, but it has increased in volume but not tone. The tone is constant. This is cause and effect, not correlation. I am certain.

Very interesting indeed. Wondering if that anxiety and depression increases due to cervical spine instability. And wondering if people with connective tissue disorders might have a higher incidence of tinnitus. Hmmm.

Interesting, I have not heard of this before. I am 66 and have had ear ringing for at least 30 years, going back to military days. I always thought mine was due to load noise from guns and rock and roll.
