My oldest granddaughter (3) was the flower girl at our wedding. She saw (her new) Uncle Jeff at the altar and took off flying up the aisle and grabbed his knees, almost tackling him! Then my sweet mother in law who had Alzheimer's began to sing along with the soloist as she sang the Lord's Prayer. Not a dry eye in the house.

This kid is so cute!!! This actually reminds me of something from when I was younger. I was told that at 5-6 years old when I was a flower girl for my aunt's wedding, I didn't even throw out the flowers. I pretended to throw them whilst saying "sprinkle sprinkle, sprinkle sprinkle". Apparently this was because during our practices, I was told to not actually throw the flowers so that way we wouldn't have to clean it up after 🤦‍♀️🤣 it makes sense but yeah it's just funny. My 11-12 year old brother was walking with me looking at my parents with frustration as his hands were moving in retaliation to my silliness xD he got so frustrated lmao

I honestly think that kids make a wedding fun. I’ve been to only one wedding where kids were not invited and the whole day was extremely boring. Even if you aren’t planning on having kids as husband and wife. If you have nieces and nephews or little cousins that are probably going to be looking out for you in your later years, please don’t shun them from your family wedding

I was a flower girl in my cousin Joanne's wedding 72 years ago. Both the ring bearer and I stood with the other attendants, bride and groom at the altar for the entire service. I was 4 years old. I do not understand this walking down the aisle, then being seated before the ceremony. I don't get it.
