Ringling Bros Train

This recently popped up on my KZbin recommendations. Produced in 2010, long before decisions to eliminate the elephants and ultimately end the circus, it's a wonderful piece on the function and ambiance of the Ringling Brothers Circus Train. As it turns out, the video is a historical look back at something now gone forever. How incredibly sad that this train, an attraction in its own right, will never again be seen on the rails of America just as "The Greatest Show on Earth" will no longer entertain "ladies and gentlemen and children of all ages".

Excellent video, full of interesting information. Truly enjoyed this I depth look. Sad the circus is gone, have fond memories of the circus from the 50’s’s and 60’s.

I remember riding with my mother in the early 80s and stumbling on the trainers unloading the Circus train. It was cool seeing the elephants walking to the once legendary Richfield Coliseum(even though it became more legendary because that is where Jordan took the shot over Craig Ehlo, but that is another story). I finally got to experience that moment with my son a little over 20 years later.

I remember the time, Union Pacific 3985 steam locomotive hauled the Ringling Bros circus train!

Richard Boamah honestly it's gonna close this is the last week for circus Xtreme and 2 more the blue unit, it's gonna be gone dude,feld has a show in the works for a circus show at the circus museum,the best thing you can do is support smaller circuses so the same wont happen to them

Ringling Bros is coming back, but without animal acts. That's very sad. Trying to compete with Cirque de Soleil. Saw a parade in Austin once moving people, animals and wveryrhing else from the train to where they performed, maybe 15 blocks away. It was great!
