@jonsterG4 жыл бұрын
Well, yes, but Paul only started consistently touting that four-sides-of-the-square message *after* George's death. Before then, he was obsessed with the McCartney-Lennon songwriting thing and being recognised as the true Beatles avant-gardist (rather than John) - as Ringo said just before the Concert for George in '02, Paul was being "under-handed" in his self-interest. I don't want to take away from the spirit of your message, but Paul McCartney's statements are always, and always have been, very calculated and agenda-based. Ringo, on the other hand, just transcends these issues: it all happened, and he's not really bothered about what anyone else thinks. Which is just one reason he was so vital to the Beatles whole.

What a beautiful tribute to the best of friends. I recently read a biography of Harrison. He loved Ringo. Really loved him. He said Ringo delivered the best back beat of any drummer in the business. Ringo said that he was visiting George at the very end. Days away. Ringo had to leave after a time to go tend to his daughter in New York (they were in England) as she was having surgery. George said, "You want me to go with you?" A real offer made from his deathbed. That's friendship. Rest in Peace George.

An absolutely beautiful loving tribute to George from Ringo. Pure Beatles. It made me cry very hard. You see, I'm a 1st generation Beatles fan. I watched them on The Ed Sullivan Show when I was 11 years old. I instantly changed for the better.

Great song and a great tribute to George. I've just heard it for the first time. You get the feeling that Ringo and George were best friends, in part because of the understandable focus on the Lennon-McCartney partnership. The Beatles wouldn't have been the Beatles without George and Ringo!

This touches my heart. So beautiful. Touches me in a way that not all songs do. Written from Ringos heart. I’ve always loved George, since I can remember. Some of my earliest memories are of me listening to his music on my parents computer, with the biggest smile on my face, heart, and soul. Especially “Here Comes The Sun” George was like the sun, bright and full of Love and light that shined through his beautiful music. George was a beautiful man with a Beautiful Soul. Thank you, George. “With Our Love we Could Save The World” -George Harrison “Within Without You” Peace and Love to all 💜💜💜

I remember when my brothers and I used to imitate the Beatles Everytime we would see them on TV, I being the oldest always said I was George my brother Carlos was John, my brother Paul was Paul and my brother Fernando was Ringo, and I memorized all their songs, good times indeed.👍👍

These two were the closet of the Beatles, true brothers in the experience, with a true manly love for each other. Danhi calls him "Uncle Ringo", which tells us something in depth. This is a beautiful song about two beautiful human beings. Love you, Ringo. Love you George, Love you, John and Paul. Never without you.

This haunts me in a good way. Ringo’s not afraid to show his depth of heart and love for George. Im sure having known George that Ringo knows there’s a reason they were brought together for such an intense beginning. What a relationship over the years as they matured. George smiles
