Using Menu #0 you really can monitor 4 channels at the same time.It's an issue when you are in a QSO & someone keys up on one of the other frequencies just so you know it will change you over to that channel as it being the Last Heard signal.It's great for just monitoring but not once you are having a QSO.

Cause you have to set tmr-mr to at least 2 second .this will throw you back to last channel you selected after 2 sec of receiving.

When you will receive quad band on all of 4 VFOs, you must setup TMR on 0 to A+B+C+D, and setup menu in 52 TMR-MR OFF.. Than it would be receive on all of VOFs on display, but when you start transmit, it would be TMR automatically OFF.. You must reset the device with power supply, and then it would be next new operational.. Sorry for my english, i am from slovakia.. :D

The DTMF on transmit can be used to access repeater functions if your local repeaters have features like auto patch that require a DTMF string to access

The TMR-MR setting refers to the number of seconds the radio stays on an active channel that is not the primary channel. In your case, it's set to 10. So after 10 seconds the radio will revert to your primary channel (but still listen to the others in the background).

Finally I got a got review on this ham radio
@InteraliaTony
@InteraliaTony 10 ай бұрын
I got mine used at a recent rally. It isn't a bad radio at all for the price. I would not have wished to set it up using the internal menus. Far easier to use the Chirp software. The VFO encoder on the right hand side is of poor quality. Often skips channels. Using the microphone buttons bypasses that issue. Good reports of sound quality. Noticeable delay between keying up and signal actually coming out of the radio. The extension speaker socket doesn't work. According to the manual, you need to use a four way 3.5mm plug - I did, and that didn't work. The received audio isn't that bad though. Bottom line, I'm perfectly happy with the quirks given the price.

Thanks for the in-depth look at the menu. I wonder if some of the pretty obscure names/functions are to do with their use in the commercial field? (thinking about the Baofeng gear and the menu system functions to do with security use etc.?) but was also surprised at how many are pretty intuitive :-) It didn't seem like there was an option to change the delay for the menu option, but my own experience with that is that sometimes you wish for the delay to be longer and then other times, you are want the delay shorter so that you can get to the previous display. Looking forward to hearing your views on the performance of the radio.... it certainly looks a tasty little unit. Thankyou

What I'm trying to figure out is if there's a difference between this one and the Btech 25x2. Or if theirs is just a re-stamped QYT being re-sold as a Btech radio. Btech is basically an American reseller that makes it easier for us to do warranty related things. Anyone have info on that? Because the QYT is like $40 cheaper.

Love this radio, but one feature is driving me mad and I can't find a solution online. I am monitoring four frequencies at the same time, even when I am on let us say on 145.500 for PTT purposes, if one of the other 3 frequencies becomes active it moves the active channel for PTT purposes to that other frequency away from where I want to be. If I manually return to 145.500 and the other repeater is still active it moves it again there. I want to monitor four frequencies ideally, but I don't want the radio to move the PTT from my chosen frequency. The M+A+B+C+D setting appears to be the one, but I can't figure out what is the correct setting, putting it to OFF just leaves me with a single frequency and no others monitored. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

I would love to see video on the programming software which QYT provides. I can read and write to/from radio just fine but I am unable to delete a single or multiple row of frequencies. The only thing I can find available in the software for deleting is the "Clear" button which unfortunately clears every row leaving you with a fresh table to start all over. I guess for now I will have to rely on Chirp and hope it doesn't mess anything up. BTW anyone having trouble connecting the radio to a W11 desktop should be aware that the device driver in Device Manager needs to be backdated to Driver Version 3.2.0.0 Driver Date 07/31/2007. This seems to be a common problem.

Nobody said that you are an expert. They wouldn't. It's just too obvious that you're not! YOU obviously think you are, setting yourself up to advise people on something about which you frequently concede that "I'm not sure!" If you're not sure, get your act together and make sure that you ARE SURE before launching off into a deception that you know what you are supposed to be talking about! Your childish retort is unworthy of a primary school play ground. I could almost see you sticking out your tongue! La La Lee La La! Yuckhh! Do you really think that I would go and find another of yours, on which to waste my time? After that one? You are just another self-appointed internet Guru. And worse, you don't even stand out amongst those idiots. And believe you me, Baby! I AM sure about that! I won't be coming back here so your anticipated, indignant venom will slip into well-deserved obscurity.

With all due respect, I didn't get the "self proclaimed expert" vibe from him. Instead he took a budget radio with minimal coverage and tried to make sense of it on camera. Many people have had issues with understanding how to make these radios work even with basic function. Instead you came here, made a snarky comment, got a fairly reasonable response from the poster and then went off on a tangent about the response you got and then called him childish as you go off and continue to act childish yourself. I hope whatever has you so aggravated works out and I hope you find a better way to spend your time.

With another radio, that has the same option to be setup as a repeater. And only after making a special link cable.
