Rinjani 100: Rise of New Champions

Rinjani 100 is a tough trail ultramarathon race in Lombok, Indonesia, set on the beautiful and exotic Mount Rinjani and its surrounding Sembalun hills.
Categories: 100KM, 60KM, 36KM & 27KM.
Each category also serves as qualifying race for UTMB (Ultra Trail du Mont-Blanc), providing 2 - 6 points.
In 2018, Rinjani 100 saw more than 1100 runners from 39 countries.
Phairat Varasin, of Thailand, broke the 100KM course record by 4 hours, while Wenfei Xie of China became the first ever woman finisher in the 100KM and placed fourth overall.
Some have dreams and hesitate. Some feel the challenge but are afraid. Not these champions. This is their story. This is Rinjani 100 history.
