I always prespray the panel before I perform a rinseless wash. It doesn't take that much longer and adds an extra level of lubrication and cleaning.

Great video. I use a modified method similar in 100*F+ weather. Bucket of ONR, pressurized gallon sprayer with ONR and pre soak the panel prior to wiping it down. Then top it off with your choice of protection

There was a guy in the 70s who used to detail cars in the streets of my neighborhood. He used 1 bucket and no hose. (Actually he had 2 buckets, 1 he used to carry his supplies and sit on) He was ahead of his time. He could have become a Detailing moguel!

I use Optimum rinseless every week. But I always spray the car down first. Blow the chrome wheels out, get the Wheel wells clean and gently hose down the panels. If I can remove pollen, dirt and dust first, that makes it just that much safer
@stevegreer19636 жыл бұрын
Combine both methods. Presoak 3-4 panels with a pump sprayer, let it sit for a couple minutes and then go in with the rinse-less wash. That Wolfgang stuff is awesome! Thanks for turning me onto it Scott. No more ONR for me.

I’ve used waterless carwash for years. The products I have used, nowhere on the spray bottle does it say to wipe the solution off in a straight line as some products say. I never wipe it of in a straight line. I do it exactly the way you do it at the end of the video using two cloths, one to wipe the excess off, and a clean cloth to buff it. This will give the best results.

What are your thoughts on using the hand held garden sprayers for waterless wash?

Surfactant this. Love you Scott
@XboxStickey6 жыл бұрын
What would really save you time is getting a pump sprayer. Also since we can "tweak" the rules, I would say rinse less in MUCH better. Simply pressure washing the vehicle off will get more dirt off than your hand sprayer. The more lubrication/water the better.
@alexbryan97166 жыл бұрын
Only thing I suggest Scott is to take a air blower to the cracks & crevices to blow out any dirt and dust the waterless may have loosened...great video

With a Rinseless Wash, you could still use water to spray the car with the hose first to get rid of dirt on the surface and reach dirt in the creases. You can also put the Rinseless wash in a spray bottle since you have a whole bucketful to work with (or use a foam gun) to get at the creases. With a Rinseless Wash, you just get to skip the last rinse step. The Waterless Wash doesn’t have this opportunity - unless you bend the rules and use a bucket of water to do an initial rinse - no one is going to complain about wasting a couple of gallons of water.
@MrDirkhead5 жыл бұрын
So looking at the way you explain the difference between rinseless and waterless, if I submersed a spray bottle in a rinseless solution would that make it waterless.

Scott, any problem in using the rinseless wash solution in the spray bottle. Your recent video combined rinseless product with a spray wax to do both steps and cut down time on the process. Thanks for sharing.
@dallaspaintcorrectionautod83436 жыл бұрын
thomkirby yes you can make a waterless wash with a rinseless formula and add a spray wax, the spray wax can act as a drying aid plus provide more lubrication during the contact wash:) Love the way you think my brother:)
@ntesla1006 жыл бұрын
First off, thank you so much Scott, my question is what dilution rate would you use for waterless wash (using wolfgang uber rinseless wash) in a spray bottle (or dilution rate for a gallon). I just received two bottles of wolfgang and also plan on making a gallon of detail spray as per your other video (the one with optima onr and wolfgang three ounces to a gallon). If you know thomkirby kindly let me know.
@MyGuyKirby6 жыл бұрын
Scott's last video used the Drive product and used 1oz to 1-gallon distilled water. He likes a bit more lubricity (slickness). The Drive product recommends 1oz to 2-gallons (bucket method). Wolfgang Uber suggests using 1oz to 3-gallons on the label. I did it this weekend on wife's car using 15ml or 1/2oz in 1-gallon and added a bit of spray wax from Griots Garage, I did not have a Wolfgang product to mix. I did a wet spray first (fresh water) then the solution from my spray bottle on the light dirt from recent rains and spay. Worked great and was just as Scott shows in the video. Try it on a small section first to see how it works on your cars. Enjoy and thanks to Scott for sharing tips and saves some money too!
@ntesla1006 жыл бұрын
Thank you thomkirby I will try 1/2 ounce Wolfgang to a gallon kinda what I was thinking thank you! FYI I tried Ultimate Fast Finish on one quarter panel using ultimate compound first, actually used a nano sponge,(Scott's video says it all) (bought clay magic too) first, still have to do the other side. The rest of my white Ford ranger was done weeks ago with Mothers Brazilian carnuba before I started listening to Scott which is why I may switch over to Ultimate Fast Finish depending on how it holds up. The Shiney microfiber towels are great too. Thank you Scott
@ntesla1006 жыл бұрын
How much Griots spray wax did you use thomkirby? I will probably use Meguiar's Quik Wax shine as you dry in Wolfgang Uber rinseless/waterless. I am thinking 1/2ounce of quik wax to a gallon plus 1/2 Wolfgang. Thank you

Could somebody explain the difference between a rinseless and waterless wash?
@etow80346 жыл бұрын
There is no reason why you can't put a rinseless wash into a compression or spray bottle in fact a rinseless wash is more versatile and much less expensive to use than a waterless wash product. Rinseless wash products like Optimun No Rinse (ONR) you can use it as a rinseless wash, a waterless wash, a clay lube and a quick detailer all by adjusting the concentration of the product to the ratio of water. In terms of cost a bottle of waterless wash will cost you in excess of $15.00/bottle while it will cost you less than $0.50 for 2 ounces of ONR to make a gallon of quick detailer.
@rehman.fahid916 жыл бұрын
A better solution again IMO would be to go ahead with a Rinsless wash, before buffing dry, with a mixture of a Rinseless and QD such as the ‘merlins magical elixir’ (ECH2O and Carpro reload) that way when your buffing dry, you are still using the sprayer to encapsulate dirt in the grooves and your also allowing for cars which are more heavily soiled as most people like myself won’t be doing Rinseless/waterless washes on cars that have dust or very little dirt on them.. 👍🏼

If you are referring to the Kwazar bottles/sprayers, don't waste your money! Perhaps I got a bad batch, but I ordered a 3 pack from Amazon a few years ago and they were JUNK. All 3 sprayers were completely useless after a couple of hours of use.

Marshall Border some areas you have no choice. Here in southern California you get caught "Washing" your car it's a $500 fine. Get caught a 2nd time it goes up to $1500. I realize this isn't everywhere, but products like these waterless washes are all some can use to clean their own car at home.

Why not put rinseless wash in a bottle and still spray the pannels? Stuff will run down, now you just wipe it down to get the rest with the towel. Basically a waterless wash and rinseless wash is the same thing, how you use it is the difference.
@slaterroberge59226 жыл бұрын
What do you think about putting a rinseless wash in a pump sprayer and using it as a waterless wash instead of using a spray bottle. I would think its more effective cause it won't make your whole hand and wrist sore from using the spray bottle so much. Just a thought.

Jamesbond Quinones does the foam really help clean out seems between panels or around emblems and headlights or taillights? Doesn't the foam just enter those areas and not flush or push out the dirt? I would think the foam would just sit in those areas and just evaporate over time but not fully release the dirt.

@dallaspaintcorrectionautod83436 жыл бұрын
kirk doran yes really dirty cars will need a hose unless car is already scratched and not a garage queen, a waterless wash or rinseless could be safer vs say a automatic carwash. I have clients that have half a million dollar cars and use a carwash all the time and scratched to living hell, using a waterless or rinseless wash on those cars even when they are dirty would still work because after all they are going to the carwash anyway a week later after my service:)

Whether I'm doing a RW or WW you ALWAYS pre-treat, common sense. There seems to be this hang up on the directions here all the time. For me it comes down to what kind of dirt and/or Jos dirty the car to determine which I use.

@ms3er3966 жыл бұрын
Works fine. Key for my technique is to NEVER dry the vehicle with a dry towel. I use the same MF Towels as he is showing but I use one soaked in Wolfgang Uber and wring it out all the way so it's damp. You can even spritz it with a detail spray or coating booster. I do mostly Rinseless in the winter and will do waterless with a damp towel if the car is just dusty and my pure black cars are flawless. It's all in the technique.

@milinichsautodetail31246 жыл бұрын
Fernando Gudino well usually one side isn’t in direct sunlight so you don’t have to worry about spotting and I’m fast enough to where I can spray down wash and dry one side of the car at time without any issues. That being said I also use a cordless blower which expedites the process. Do a bulk wipe first because the only water that will spot is the beads the left over water trails usually wipe right off
