Creating this painting was an adventure! Initially, I had a specific color palette in mind, but as I began working on it, the painting seemed to have a mind of its own and led me in a different direction. It transitioned from vibrant colors to neutral shades, eventually settling on a vibrant retro palette. This is what's fascinating about abstract art - it's so intuitive and the painting seems to have a personality of its own 😉. I must admit, the process of creating this artwork was incredibly fulfilling, but it also had its challenges. With each layer, the painting took on a completely new and unexpected direction. I had to let go of my previous expectations and embrace the new path to keep progressing. Thats why, the title of this artwork became 'Letting go'. What I really enjoy about working with transparent layering is the possibility to keep changing the artwork. It's incredibly forgiving in that sense. However, when dealing with multiple layers, it was crucial to ensure that the composition remained clean and peaceful. Thank you so much for watching!! I hope you loved watching my process, just as much as I did creating it. The Artwork: 'Letting Go'' Size: 28x40in (70x100cm) Series: 'Memories are forever'

Wow 😍 these are absolutely gorgeous!!! Thank you so much for sharing your process and techniques. As a amateur artist I find it so inspiring and educational to see the different ways you create your beautiful pieces. Repeatedly inspired to try new things and be free or with simply experimenting instead of being focused on the outcome. This is especially valuable to me as it helps me so much with my struggle with depression. When I find inspiration to paint and can escape the workings of my mind it is invaluable to me. You are such a gift and I am so grateful for what you do!

Rinske, I absolutely couldn't figure out where you were going with this creation. Based on your statement you had sleepless night over it, I truly understood your artistic dilemma! In the end, I appreciated all the layers as it developed & found it beautiful hung in its new home. What a process!! I love, love, love transparent layers & the evolution of the composition. I'm going to toss in my unsolicited opinion here. In addition to the yellow chalk line, adding the suggested thin gold line traveling through more colors - specifically the darkest segment. The yellow skips that, giving illusion it was earlier step than it actually was. One continuous faint gold line traveling through more dominant color blocks, as if adding the exclamation point of finality. Just a thought... I sincerely thank you for allowing us to travel the artistic journey with you. It shows tremendous vulnerability as a creative soul. I have enough insecurities in my artistic abilities that I don't think I could be as forthcoming as you are. You rise ever so brilliantly by doing "you". Kudos Woman! The lessons you teach your son (and by extension me & all viewers) about confidence & exploration are priceless. Thank you, Rinske❤

Hi Rinske. I like very much this new style, but there was so much suspense for me watching the progress 😨😂. I was talking to you all along: please don't change the color this is perfect, but than after next layer, it looked even more beautiful of course. After relaxing and thinking ok, ok everything is good you are changing plan and introducing new idea. 😰Oh no don't do that! You'll ruin it! And the painting was more interesting and gorgeous. So, in the end, I just leaned back, shut up and relaxed. Yes, Rinske "knows". ❤
