This was a great night, with as the commentator says four Team GB golds. I was there, at the front and level with the finish line/podium. It was the friends/family/VI.P. area. I wasn’t any of those but I just walked around the stadium tunnel till I got there and walked in. No one challenged me. I sat next to the Dutch ambassador. (It was a spare seat; I didn’t take anyone’s place.)

I’m still amazed by how much Malone covered to come second. Wow.

anzacproud- he asked Oscar Pistorius for advice after he was convicted of murder. What a legend?
@anzacproud8 жыл бұрын
Whatyoutalkinabout Willis He has said in a number of interviews that the advice Pistorius gave him didn't help him that much & that all of the correspondence they had was about running & none about why Pistorius is in prison.

Whatyoutalkinabout Willis Pistorius is a horrible person, but there's no denying that he was a master Parathlete

VF7 We all know Pistorius is a horrible person & I don't see anywhere in this thread where anyone has said otherwise.

anzacproud I'm saying that Malone asking Pistorius for advice about running does not discredit his 'legend' status

The 100m is Peacock's prefered race & the 400m is Malones prefered race so I'd like to see a match up between Malone & Peacock in a 200m race.

disgraceful crowd numbers. A lesson for future olympics-do not give it to 3rd world countries where the majority of the population cant afford tickets

Don’t be stupid. There’s not really such a thing as first- and third-world countries any more, but Brazil certainly isn’t third world. And the tickets were very cheap anyway and the stadium was very full. I was there. Bear in mind that the spectator close-ups you see here are from reserved areas, not the main crowd.
