Mo Farah wins the final of the 10,000m to take the gold medal in the Olympic Stadium at the London 2012 Olympics Games.
Farah was followed by USA's Galen Rupp taking silver and Ethiopia's Tariku Bekele taking bronze.
Since 1896, athletics has been on the programme of each edition of the Games of the Olympiad. Its presence on the Games programme has allowed its popularity to increase across the world. This popularity was also strengthened by the creation of the IAAF in 1912. Women's events appeared for the first time at the 1928 Olympic Games in Amsterdam, while the men's programme was standardised as of the 1932 Games in Los Angeles. Although at the beginning women were authorised to participate in only some events, today their programme is almost identical to that of the men.

Have you seen the carved huge rocks and rock pyramids of egypt ?! Do you think any human can do such a work under the hot sun of egypt even the modern white Egyptians, except those strong skinny cushitic people which are painted on the walls of each pyramid and item of ancient egypt and nubia ?

@Francisco-dl1nb
@Francisco-dl1nb 7 ай бұрын
@@crabb9966 mentally I think it really is, during the race at least. you need to adapt each time to the race that's going on. sure sometimes they might know how different athletes like to pace their runs but strategies might change. Always having that need to check your own pace and know when to start sprinting must be harder than just "blindly" running as fast as you can each time.

I ran this in the 38's way back in college, and I was good enough to win local age group categories. We had a Kenyan on our team and I got to watch him break 30 at a conference meet. The performance gap between him and me was gigantic. But the gap between him and someone like Farah or Bikele who could run 27:30 on demand may be even larger. You gain such an appreciation for the talent of elite distance runners watching this, especially those like Farah who had such a long period of dominance and is breaking WR in 2020!

@axlrosea675
@axlrosea675 8 жыл бұрын
If you are not joking, here's the solution: Rupp pointed out that Farah and him got 1st and 2nd. Rupp and Farah are close traning partners in the Oregon project under the guidance of coach Salazar.
@mitchelllantz8797
@mitchelllantz8797 8 жыл бұрын
axlrosea675 its usual for an athlete to hold up the number 1, until he realized that he in fact didn't get 1 but 2, he was not pointing out the fact that him and Farah got 1st and 2nd it was just funny how he changed it
@axlrosea675
@axlrosea675 8 жыл бұрын
You don't SERIOUSLY believe that Rupp did not realize that he came in second rather than first? You have to be joking. Look at the time stamp you pointed out. He congratulates Mo and, as his tranining partner hugs him and then points out their special double victory.
