When I was 22 years old I worked there on the mentioned construction projects in 2004, I was an apprentice carpenter. I worked on the building with the round front at 1:22, it was new construction. It's cool to see the building and campus from above. Would ya just look at it!

I graduated/transferred from Hondo College back in 2013. I can honestly say that it was the most enriching and exciting time of my young-adult life and I HIGHLY recommend the college to anyone in the area who is looking to invest in themselves for academic or professional reasons, even just for fun (I know I took several classes outside of my major requirements just for fun). It's been over a decade since I last attended, and I can honestly say I still love Rio.

@nvtxnn I never went to ELACC, but I actually saw a couple people I knew at the time go to both ELACC and Rio, mainly due to class availability. Back in the day, certain classes in certain majors were impacted everywhere so ppl had to hop around. Compare what programs are offered at both campuses that you want to take, as well as any honors and transfer pathways and agreements they have with universities. Base your decision on that primarily. Everything else being equal, I do think Rio is a smaller campus, so if you get involved in student activities (ex: Clubs, student leadership, etc) you'll make a lot of friends and connections not just with students but faculty and staff as well. There was a strong sense of community and comaraderie when I was there and dang I still miss it!

This school didn't even place in the top 100 . This is sad with all this new stuff. A community college in Blythe placed 76. Blythe!
