He hasn't been inconsistent his whole career, that's patently false. And yes some of the blame for this poor season does rest on the manager. Last season Rashford played pretty much as in inside forward, which allowed him to have the season he had. This season the manager has had him hugging the touchline for most of the season. Of course he's not going to be as effective. The reason ETH did that was to give us defensive width on that side in the absence of a left-back, so I understand why he did it, but it badly affected Rashford's performances.

Ten Hag is a good manager and the real thing. However there are too many millionaire diva players who are on the books of MUFC who play maybe once a month or twice a season. Ten Hag needs to do what Fergie used to do. Throw a few boots at the heads of some of them and remind them that millions of people around the world watch this club. If the team does well then the world smiles. Last season the world felt most of the players weren't interested in the club or playing. Clear out the divas and bring in the youngsters who are hungry, loyal and potentially great players.

He’s had a lot of bad luck with injuries and although we didn’t finish in a good league position, I think he’s earned some credit in the bank for the trophies he’s won so far. Need to see our wingers pass the ball more to Hojlund rather than trying to score themselves. Many times Hojlund makes a good run/gets into a scoring position but Rashford most of the time would shoot and miss. Would love to see Amad starting more games too next season rather than Antony. Last season our midfield area was passed by opponents so easily. Hope we can get it tighter there next season.

Whatever happens, kicking out a manager before his initial contract ends when there are definite signs of progress (youth prospects making debuts and coming good, winning Carabo Cup against Newcastle and FA Cup against City, and many injuries plaguing his season) is a bad move. Let's back Ten Hag for the next season and go from there. If he continues bringing success, then we're good. If not, then we need to re-assess.

It’s crystal clear this season we played with maguire, lindelof, Evans , varane, dalot, wan bisaka and casemiro in defence. Last season we had shaw with malacia back up lb Martinez and varane Cb with Maguire and lindalof as rare backup canon foder and dalo on the right with wan bisaka as back up cover. No matter what any professional says or thinks , there is no one thing more important , not even close than that change in defence. Sorry don’t mean to offend but it premiership and championship.
