What people need to realise too is that she's not beating cannon fodder here. The top 7 times in this race are all TOP level world class swims. Women's distance freestyle is actually quite deep at present, even without Ledecky this was a SCORCHING race, remember other than Ledecky, even including super suit swims barely a dozen or more girls have ever broken 8:20. So the fact she is dismantling such class athletes is even more impressive than it looks.

What is your opinion of her technique as compared to Ian Thorpe? While their techniques are obviously different (each suited to their unique body composition), my question is specifically with respect to grace in stroke.
