You really are an excellent instructor. Seriously... Great presentation, friendly, likeable, knowledgeable, presentable... Thank you!

I often find that pulling the stem out helps with putting the spacer back over the movement. It would have been nice if you had an example with a battery cover plate. One other thing is that I’ve seen many more watches damaged with a case press than with hand closing.

If they changed the battery like the guy in video, they may have damaged it. This video is a demonstration on how NOT the change a battery.

what about waterproofed watches?

Awesome! have the first tool. For the second watch, I would just lightly hammer it shut.

Avoid touching the inner part of the watch with your bare fingers. Then don't use metal tweezers to hold batteries. 😮 will discharge them 😢
@evanmiris57653 жыл бұрын
The fact that you used brass tweezers to replace the new battery tells me that you don't know what you are doing, you picked up the new battery holding it between the positive and negative shorting out with the brass tweezers. That will damage or definitely shorten the life of the battery. Watch batteries should never be handled with fingers for the same reason, only plastic tweezers should be used for handling watch batteries.

Came here to say this. That plus he never cleaned the back of either watch first. Pretty sloppy
@evanmiris57653 жыл бұрын
@@MrYetiman82 Also rubber gaskets tend to stretch and should be replaced, if they are fine you can re use them but they need a little bit of watch gasket silicon to lubricate them forming a water-resistant seal but also stops them from binding up and splitting when tightening the back of the watch case , similar to applying a little oil to a new car oil filter gasket when fitting a new filter.

@@evanmiris5765 so basically what we're saying is that this guy has no business teaching anyone how to change a watch battery

You need to use a tool that blows out all the dust that is in the watch thats a step you forgotten
