Another card I’ve been evaluating is Delina Wild Mage. In the 99 she’s a backup/budget Riyona that wins with some of the same lines. Have you tried or considered her?

When I first started brewing Rionya, I considered her, but over the years I settled on Godo as my backup wincon since he can win with or without our commander!!! (thus making the card count needed to win still 1 card vs 2 cards)

Thanks, man!!! And I never got to try it personally, but the Rionya community used to SWEAR by it before so many 1 card combos/"insta-win" got printed for her!!

I just built a version of Rionya myself. I have a question; doesn’t Godo just go infinite w/ Rionya? W/out the Helm and Hammer? What am I missing?

Glad you joined the community, bro!!! And yes, it does! You can make infinite Legendary Godo's w/ Infinite combat steps, but if your opponents are able to block & kill/remove the Godo, then the combo stops ✋🏾 That's why having the full combo package is good 👍🏾... You can make infinite non-legendary Godo's w/ Rionya & Helm as long as 1 opponent doesn't have the a creature big enough to block & kill the first legendary Godo on the first attack.

Yo, what is your thought, about Fanatic of Mogis? I thinn he is so good in this deck, no infinite combo needed, just play some spells into Fanatic and copy him a bunch of times

I actually used to run FoM! I really loved him in the deck, but eventually let him go because he many times took too much setup to kill the whole table when compared to the other 1 card combos in the deck (Port Razer, Bloodthirster, etc.)

Isn't roaming throne a ridiculous combo with just like a couple of spells cast?

It's technically not a combo, it just cascades into massive value/a win if you can cast a lot of Instant/Sorcery spells (namely, extra combat spells). For me, it feels more "win more" than an actual combo, but I'm looking forward to the Rionya community to show me otherwise!

I’ve tried Roaming Throne and had it resolve a couple times. Naming human and it accelerates a number of the winning lines. Chaos Adventurer and Riyona without any instants/sorceries lets you complete a dungeon and cast up to 6 free spells. Lightening Runner and Riyona without any instants/sorceries wins the game. Double trigger on Riyona and double trigger on each Runner. It’s a very strong and harder to interact with “ritual” that improves a number of the lines.

@@robertmitchell3030 Thanks for sharing, bro! I really like your comparison to it being a "ritual." It makes it make more sense running for that effect, to me, over seeing it as a win-con.
