Tag fighter will make it a gamble, it a very polarizing sub genre for a reason, mainly those combos that last an eternity.

@@vulcanmemes9770 I agree with you that some combos be lasting an eternity. Especially Ahri in this game I swear they do mental damage. But I feel like the benefit with this game is that you can play it with a homie. So you really only have to learn one character so that takes away some people's gripes with the genre.

@@lBlackDawnl Fair, my only other complaint is that they said want the game to be really fast-paced yet matches can last for like 2 mins instead of the typical 90 and there's like 4 different entrance and exit animations for each character. It being an alpha, hoping they can make them skippable but reducing the timer might be tricky.

While I don't doubt it'll be a good game I doubt it'll revolutionize in the way you think, in terms of being a free to play defintatly, in terms of gameplay it has steep competition with MVC making a comeback and with Dragon Ball Fighterz already having a game mode similar to it's 2p vs 2p with 3p vs 3p.

@@sliverkimson I definitely agree that it being free to play will be a big push for the game itself. It definitely has some steep competition. I just have faith/ cope that the changes riot will make during the game's life cycle will help elevate it to that standard. But we shall see. My hopes is that it at least gets a decent slot at major tournaments and I'll be happy

I LOVE DBFZ having it, but, in some fairness, while DBFZ wasn't the most niche fighter ever, it certainly is largely the subset of people who ALSO like dragon ball, while we've seen Riot pump out stuff that way more than just league players enjoy (Arcane was SUPER popular with the general populace, and many people play TFT only and not league)

​@@kirinashia567 I'm not disagreeing that 2xko has the potential to be successful and I hope it is so it sets a precedence for f2p fighting games but saying it's ties to Riot and LoL won't be an influencing factor in it's success is a false statement especially with the success with Arcane adding even more eyes. So while not to the level as with DB, LoL will have a comparable level of carrying for 2xko's initial success among the pre-existing fans wanting to try the new game in the franchise because even if it's a fraction of LoL playerbase that still in the tens of thousands.

Disagree. It'll come out, people will get hype then it'll fizzle out. They said the same thing about Skull Girls and other fighting games. Games especially like what's been showing with massively long combo strings aren't as popular MvC is the biggest one and it's popularity is dwarfed compared by SF, Tekken or GG.

Bro if you mad you didn't get in the alpha just say so. All things aside, I feel like this game has plenty of things going for it. We have the 2v2 aspect that allows you to play with a homie. It's free to play. It's attached to a big name one of the biggest in the world of gaming league of legends. There's plenty of things that help it stand out when compared to others within the genre. I do believe this will be the first fighting game for many and will introduce so many people to the genre.

To the point that it could change the fighting game. That being said, for you calling the game mid matter of opinion, plenty of people are enjoying themselve. Many people already know this is an alpha. Not even a beta. And people are having this much fun with an early build of the game. I'm excited to see how that pans out when we get the full release. And the full roster. If you don't see the potential within this game that's on you. It just might not be for you.
