Today we head back into MotoGP 21 where we race in this MotoGP 21 Gameplay as Marc Marquez at Argentina.
This is a preview build of the MotoGP 2021 Game for the PC. The game features new bike physics which I'm learning in this preview MotoGP 21 gameplay.
I hope to bring some PS5 gameplay from MotoGP 21 as soon as possible.

Surely you can figure out what "engine braking" means....

engine breaking (EBS) slows down the bike when downshifting by going from a bigger gear to a smaller gear making the bike rev high slowing down the bike. depending on the level of EBS and how high the RPM is when downshifting the bike can lockup and slide or just gently slow the bike down

Engine braking is just that. When you tap off throttle it’s how much compression the engine uses to slow down the bike without braking. The higher the number the more aggressive the engine will slow the bike down.

Actually the engine brake will help stopping the bike under braking but will make the bike much more aggressive and unstable under braking

Milestone are doing a lot of things right, except the tyres. I swear the game only ever suggests medium front and hard rear in all scenarios, be it hot or cold. Try doing a race simulation in 21', i'm sure it'll recommend Med front and Hard rear!

Can't wait for this game to release. Honestly the only thing I miss is a pick up mechanic. When you fall on realistic settings you have to go to your bike and pick it up and get on it again. Last I've seem that in superbike 2001 and I'm quite "sad" that it's not a popular mechanic with motorsport games.

In this game you will do that. Not in this preview build, but in the final game Milestone will add that feature. So if you crash you will have to run to the bike and pick it up, like in real life

Riotbox- Do you have any videos up which show how the bike retrieval system works when you fall off the bike? I thought they did away with the automatic respawns on bikes...

I can't believe the body positions are STILL broken (asymmetrical). Notice how it's "fixed" on right turns, and different on lefties. Especially the elbow, he sticks it so much out of left turns and doesn't stick the whole body out like in right turns when picking it up.

Similar A.I from Motogp20. They're slow on straights. Then *(dive bombing/kamikaze attack)* into you on sharp corner.

the only time ai slows down is under 70% difficulty i played at 115% and can never overtake in straights

I’m feeling that way too. I really enjoyed MotoGP 18. Thought it was a really good MotoGP game then 19 blew it away. I got hooked on the games and couldn’t wait for 21. I haven’t even finished a season on 21. It just felt too much like the previous game. They added the management part but that just annoyed me. Too much busy work. I hate the fact that hardly anything trackside or presentation wise changes. It’s so sterile looking

The bikes move around a lot more than motogp20. I hope the tyre wear affects the AI more this time. In motogp20 they just gunned it out every corner with no rear end end slide.

Even when they improve the likeness of the riders, the rendering leaves something to be desired. Check out the Mike Flowers Pops hair texture behind Marquez on the grid at the start :D I'd happily do without most of the cut scenes especially if I have to watch the shaking handlebar rider/engineer scene one more time.

Videos from the real cockpit point of view are very seldom seen. But only that is actually a realistic view and style of play for a simulation. One also often has the feeling that the control is optimized especially for this guardian angel view during development. But nobody who drives real superbikes will play and ride in this external view. The real view should be given more weight in the development. TrackIR included ...

This is a GAME. It supposed to simulate some aspects of real life but you can NOT replicate the feeling of riding a bike. It will only ever be realistic if you get a bike as a controller. So let people play as they want. 1st person is never the "real" view even in car games.

@@venglomarci In ACC GT3 is real look and in F1 2020 is real look. When you are in a Flightsim FS 2020 Cockpit... its real look. And this is Game for you and a Simulation for the real Biker. I think the guardian angel view is for kits ok, they ride no bikes in real. The real Biker drive with Cockpit view.

I like the fact that AI seems to be much more aggressive. Last year people were able to easily win championship on 120% AI which was bullshit. Make 100% hard but winnable (like 120% last year) and then make 120% almost impossible to win, punish every player mistake. BTW engine braking is when you let off the gas, how hard the bike will brake without using brakes.
