Its insane that you were that young when Capaldi was the Doctor. That makes me feel old, my first Doctor was the Ninth Doctor. I fell in love with Eccleston right away, and it was hard for me to get used to the idea of regeneration back then.

as someone who disagrees with the sentiment of the video, i at least have to commend you for being honest

@@frankenfurter11 I see a lot of people when criticising the last 10 years of the show mask their criticisms in kind of fake bs (you know what I'm talking about- when people who clearly hate Jodie Whittaker's acting saying "it wasn't the acting she was great it was the writing") so to hear someone just say what was actually on their mind was a breath of fresh air

Obviously everyone is allowed they're own opinion, and i dont like it when people get angry over someone not agreeing with them. However i will say calling yasmin finny a guy without trying to be respectful is a little harsh. I get where both sides are coming from, but having more inclusion isn't a bad thing, but when people say that white people are everywhere that's not really fair considering a higher % of people are white. But at the end of the day people shouldn't be hated for there own belives but dotm go out of your way to insult people!

Honestly, a lot of your criticisms towards the show's writing are so so totally valid. But this isn't Ncuti's fault. I'm not some pre-existing fan of his, nor do I believe in woke culture, but I just see an actor trying his best with the material he's been given. Like the constant crying isn't his decision. Diversity hire or not (who knows how they select the actor), I don't see any reason to blame him. And although it's not my favourite season either, Doctor Who isn't dead. The show always changes, sometimes for the worse, sometimes appealing to a different audience, sometimes bad enough to be cancelled. But I want to embrace that change even if there are some parts I don't fully like, such as the weak writing. It's hard to let go of the past but I think letting go and moving on to other interests is a healthier attitude to take about it. If the show remained the same forever, there would be a whole new range of problems (starting with staleness).

I'm with you, FF. I still think that everything from the end of Capaldi forward should be retrowritten off as a Master-created hallucination to torture the Doctor, and when Who comes back, the first thing they should do is film an opening where Capaldi wakes up on the floor of his TARDIS, screams, gets to his feet, swears in Gallifreyan, and checks the time, then says, " Thank whatever that THAT never happened. ", then do two episodes to underline that neither Jodie or Shooty were ever the Doctor, then regenerate in UNIT headquarters into a new male Doctor who is in no way woke. Wipe all that sludge away.

Its lazy writing pandering to a bunch of narcissistic freaks that killed the show. Now its all "fuck the cannon" self-inserting fanfiction combined with over-preaching and shoehorned nostalgia.

It’s very nice how you understand the essence of the Doctor at such a young age better than the older “scriptwriters”. I believe that the Doctor cannot be a woman or a gay-like man. Masculinity is a broad and subjective concept, but you know what made the Doctor masculine all this time - his balance between an authoritarian leader and a people-loving time LORD. Very fatherly figure. The mother is the one who gives life, always tries to protect, but the father, in order for the children to grow up, inevitably exposes them to danger and challenge. The Doctor does the same with his companions. He tests them, and they test him. But he also cares for them. It just feels different. This image is very difficult to convey through soft external features. This is not intolerance towards anyone. I say that not even every man will be able to convey the Doctor's nature: lively, but old, cheerful, but gloomy, strong, but lonely - Capaldi, Matt, Tennet perfectly conveyed these characteristics. But female facial features or soft male facial features are not capable of this. And of course, the Doctor is a strong personality and despite his energetic aura, he can be terrifyingly intimidating when protecting what he cares about. And the problem here is the script for the new "Doctors". I just cannot accept it and I don't want to

Complaining about having unfair labels attached to you for merely criticizing the show and then doing very little other than just moaning about the show's diversity is very funny. So was your point about the Doctor's sexuality (after you had complained that you couldn't self-insert yourself as the Doctor flying about the universe "with a hot girl" with you). I thinkkkkk you should never make a video like this again. It's too late to get into grifting.

As a female, I never wanted a woman as the doctor. I like the idea of travelling with a handsome alien. I officially quit watching the show after whitakers 1st season
