I saw them with MrCash in 1972, when I was 6... my Grammy and I used to watch Johnnys tv show on an old b@w tv with foil antennae,in her trailor along the banks of the OhioRiver, just south of Louisville. She surprised me with tix as a birthday gift. I’m getting misty thinking back to hearing her sing Legend of JohnHenrys Hammer, as she made dinner. But she REALLY loved the Statlers and could always be heard humming their tunes...she always wanted to meet them. I guess now she has....sweetest woman I’ve ever known...I miss her still....ripHarold...tell Katherine I’m gonna see her one day....

Their Farewell Tour was difficult for me to watch. I always enjoyed their music (I am from Richmond) as they’re from Staunton, Va.. So many great songs. One of my favorite lines from Class of ‘57 is ‘Life gets complicated when you get past 18’. I had no idea how true that would become.

Really hated hearing this. Have always loved THE STATLER BROTHERS. Still have an autographed picture of them I got when they were at TOMBSTONE JUNCTION when I was a kid. They were so good and put on a really good show. They were really friendly and talked with folks in the crowd between songs. Harold would joke and cut up with people. Seemed like a really great guy .He will be sadly missed like many others. Condolences and prayers for all his family, friends , and fans.
