I saw Willie around 1978 in Georgia with my oldest brother. A wonderful memory for me. A fight broke out just ahead of me, when the man rated back his elbow caught me in the mouth and busted my lip. I fell and big brother pulled me out from the bottom of the pile . Willie sent his personal security guy to check on me. I was bleeding but fine. Autographed tee shirt and I was on my way. Been a fan ever since.

My father died in 2013 at the age of 91. He was an incredible man and a wonderful father. Last month (Feb, 2015) I found an old tape cassette in his house. I brought it to a transfer studio to see what was on it and when they popped it in the player, like a gift from heaven, what I hear is my father singing Seven Spanish Angels. I was stunned and started to cry. He only sang the chorus, but he did so clearly and beautifully (with no accompaniment). I had never heard the song before so when I came home I immediately googled it and found this video. Thank you so much for posting..... my father must have loved this song and after listening to it I'm not surprised. What a treasure. I believe this was a message to me that he is in heaven.

My dad never said the words White man, Black, or any race ever, our own relatives made fun of us, saying we were raised White, because we didn’t get raised in Black culture”. He raised us knowing the Bible and his verse he quoted when things got tough was Romans 8:28 And we know all things work together for good to those who love G-d, to those who are called according to His purpose. That means all things, slavery, rape, murder, any evil or curse will turn into your greatest Blessings, if you trust, follow Yeshua.
