I was unfortunate to work for a company that did a bit of business with them. All I will say is observing that experience taught me to collect as much money as possible up front from clients either cash in hand, or through a rock solid contract. Only one anecdote, but it was very interesting to see the media articles come out explaining the situation of how they were yet another company selling a concept of a product and just crossing their fingers that the engineering team would be able to meet the promises made by the marketing teams.

They have magic leap 2 and it makes rest of the ar products look like a joke

The vision of Magic Leap is still alive. If the iPhone brought computers into our pockets, spatial computing will make them disappear. Computing units will exist in the cloud, and the space itself will become both a display and an interface at the same time, so hardware will become immaterial and software will become tangible matter.

AR isn't going anywhere. People think it's going to be APV that ushers in the new era, but it isn't. It's going to be companies like Nreal and Viture with there slim-lined displays. Most likely, they'll move into partnerships with Samsung and other companies to create more intricate and versatile HMD's. We can't forget Visor, either. We're not quite there in this space to allow for devices like magic leap and hololens to run the show. It's just too expensive. What we will see however is supplement devices that will accomplish half of what they do, and I think that people can accept that for the time being.

I can see a huge improvement in your most recent content from this one; it's truly inspiring! Lately I've been listening to your videos more podcast style, i.e. I'm not watching the actual video, and I feel like the content is well researched and engaging! You have a pleasant voice to listen to, and have great audio. Please keep it up!

That is extremely interesting to hear. I wonder if that means I could make longer and more detailed videos but with less editing. Something to think about.
@CharlesWeill3 жыл бұрын
@@JohnCooganPlus TechLead mentioned that his recent videos include less B-roll and editing because half of his viewers don't even look at his video, rather they listen to his content like a pure audio. Which makes sense, since his audience is techies who play his videos during their commute or when doing chores.

Thanks a lot! Glad you liked it. I’m really excited for AR to become a reality. It seems like Apple is working really hard on it and when all of the tech companies are competing the technology will really accelerate.

Very good points, but just the presence of the iPhone when it first came out. It was like an alien technology. It was obvious things would change from there on.

You can't use the googles as an external monitor because they can only up to 720p You can't use them as smartphone because it's easier to interact with a touchscreen You can't use them at work because the marketing if too focused on gaming so employees won't adopt it
