RIP Once Again to Borgward, 2015-2022

Back in 2015, Borgward announced it was back from the dead. The name and trademark had been sold to a Chinese company, and less than a year later, Zombie Borgward had a car to sell called the BX7. It didn’t last long, though, as the undead automaker is officially dead again.
Autocar reports that Borgward has declared bankruptcy and is looking for the court’s approval to liquidate its assets. The company reportedly owes creditors more than $750 million, with ownership currently split between Foton, a truck division of BAIC and Ucar, a Chinese mobility company.

I don't understand why the Chinese need to have so many brands of cars, I know they all belong to only 2 or 3 conglomerates, but I mean the Americans tried that and it didn't work out very well.

Because their population is overcrowded bro, so it is essential for them to have a larger spectrum of products to meet their necessity

My dad's best friend had a Borgward 230, the last of the in line sixes. Fireside Chatts about how good it was compared to other Vauxhall Velox, Crests and Ford Zephyr 6 and Counsel 4 " Rep" mobiles continued in my ear shot each time Gavin visited. 1957 to 62 was a bad time to run a business in West Germany, more so 2020-2022. IMHO, it's always sad when any company suffers collapse.
