I loved living and windsurfing in HI. My daughter, her husband, and our three grandchildren live there now. I tested prototypes for Rick Naish and was able to party with the Naish family and their workers and staff at Carol & Rick's house. Good times.

these days not even a beginner would go out with such material and sail shapes - but look how they ripped in the 90s! the message: don't believe all the mumbo jumbo of the $ surf $ industry $. latest board "technology" foil here rocker curve there blabla ;-) instead: enjoy what ever gear you have and have fun. this yearly upgrade cycle is unnecessary. 😎🤙🏼

I understand what you are saying but honestly windsurfing gear was pretty advanced by 95 or 96. It had already moved on a lot from the late 70’s and 80’s. What we used in the 90’s seemed pretty advanced at the time.

"Welcome to Hawaii". I remember twenty years ago watching this(25?), my favorite part is his speed slalom segment. I would never have the balls to sail that speed thru vicious chop like that. 👍 Because of the opening Kailua segment, me and two friends went there in 1997, totally pumped, but got skunked. Too bad, what a beautiful place. We all had dreams of sailing to Bird Shit Island. 🐦

I can't believe people are on about the music being bad when every single track in the movie is a jam. I knew this when I was 7, quarter century changed nothing. I kid you not, my cat just pawed the volume up during white zombie. Very cool that Robby is still out there doing his thing though, that's what kicks the most ass for sure.

Interesting, for the most part I find the soundtrack to this rather tedious, much of it a solo metal guitar and drums doing mostly just sort of an unlistenable one-note metal drone, with no particluar tune to it. Just my opinion. But the video is great. I am more partial to the music in 'Heart and Soul', and 'Spread the Word'.
