Ken Curtis was a wonderful singer ❤ Actor and he was a great person. He's in many movies, TV shows and gave concerts till he passed away. He was a good friend to many and great husband ❤ ♥ 💕 💖 I hope they don't ever forget him ❤ 💙 😢 ♥

When I watch the John Wayne movies and I would see him sing with the Jordanaires and would see the smile on the face of Catherine O'Hara and that smile and John Wayne's eyes as as they watch them sing and play it was wonderful King Curtis was a beautiful singer and a wonderful actor and I still watch the reruns and list love to listen to him sing to this day he is an icon in many many ways

If memory serves me correctly, he was Frank Sinatra’s replacement when Frank left Dorsey.

He was with the Sons of the Pioneers too. He was in some of John Wayne’s 1940’s & 50’s movies too. Sang in some of them too. And he was on an episode of the old Richard Boone TV series called “Paladin”. I used to watch it back in the day. Ken sang “Noah’s Dove”, a beautiful song then. There’s a video of it on KZbin.

No. The first orchestra he fronted was when he worked for Shep Fields as his vocalist. Then after Frank Sinatra was forced to sue Tommy Dorsey to break a lifetime contract, he was minus a singer. Ken Curtis was who he hired to replace Ol' Blue Eyes. After that is when he began working with the Sons Of The Pioneers. But he didn't stay with them very long, just a little less than two years.
