My grandmother bought me a red 70 when I was eight years old for $150. First ride I put it in a ditch, but after that my dad would load it into the trunk of his old Cadilac and drive me to a field to do laps. As I got older and taller I got braver and started sending it off jumps. LOL all that with the helmet unstraped. I loved that little bike from the seventies.

Great video! I'm 63 now, and have photos of me on my first gold Trail 70 taken in November, 1969. I'm sure that bike was gone decades ago, but have a gold 1970 replacement. Wife was riding it briefly this afternoon. My only other motorcycle is a Kawasaki Z-125 Pro.

That’s awesome! The old Trail 70’s are so wonky to ride, but that’s what makes them fun too!

@@John5XR Agreed. How 'bout the first Z50 Minitrail hardtails? Talk about wonky, I have a scar when one of those brake levers dug into my knee :-)

Haha, yes! I actually have a 77’ Z50 soft tail. Easier to ride than the Trail in my opinion

The ct70 on road has to be in low gears to go up hills fast
