As a Barca fan it was one of the saddest moments for me when he was ignored and finally sold. But I'm here to support him. He is a talent and I hope he develops it well and go back to Europe and top teams

I hate LA/NY teams and I agree with you, but I don't want him to do too well for another reason. I want him to succeed and be a top player in this league, but not so far ahead. Why? To show the MLS is closing the gap in quality and that we're a great place to come play in order to have a chance to move back to the top five leagues. Meanwhile, they need to lose tonight. :)

@@chasemeyer2257 The average age in MLS is 24? How's that a retirement league? If anything, MLS is a seller league. There are more leagues in Europe that have aging players. You're a bandwagon fan of football. The Bundesliga is dominated by Bayern. How boring is that? Outside of PSG, Lille, OL and Marseilles, Ligue 1 is boring as well. La La Liga is probably the most interesting out of the other ones but still dominated by Real Madrid, Atletico and Barca. The EPL is great since there are more than 5 clubs that can win the league even though City dominates for the last 5 years. MLS may only be #10 overall best football league in the world and #15 in football power rankings, but at least anyone can win the league just like how it is in Copa Libertadores. The MLS sucks to you, but the world begs to differ.

What he needs is just what he's going to get here, consistent playing time to settle into how to play his position better. I'm sure all the loans, such as Miazga had, can be very exhausting. He gets a chance to be consistent for multiple years. Good decision.

I saw his first game here in MLS. He has a strong opinion about what to do and plays hard. He was getting upset with Galaxy's slow demeanor. He is going to be a leader on this team. I bet he challenged Barca and they didn't like it. He is special and remember he has been told he is great his whole life. So he wants to go out and be great, get out of his way so he can do it. Vazquez is going to be the perfect mentor. He was better than Messi until his injuries. Galaxy has had 4 ex Barca players play for us....Wow!

I mean I’m not the biggest MLS guy… but I think him going there is huge and will also set a wave. Like Beckham going to the MLS it brought more big players (towards the end of their career) like Sancho leaving England to play more British players started going abroad… and now him going to the MLS I think young people will follow up and see it as an option from big leagues in the world.

This is what the MLS should do. Get the best players from South America and Europe to come and play here at a young age. Instead paying 7 million dollars to an old player like Hector Herrera who is not worth that much. Thankfully at least some people are aware of this. Daddy arranged for him to play golf with Laporta, probably arranged for him to be accepted in the academy in the first place. He took up a spot a more dedicated player could have filled for the past 4 years. He treated the club like it was his clubhouse.

I respect his decision to stay at LA Galaxy, but I feel like he can receive more mentorship from the top teams in the MLS like LAFC, Seattle Sounders, San Jose, etc. He's at the age where he needs someone like Gareth Bale to mentor him. I think it's hard to grow as a player to remain in a mediocre team like LA Galaxy. Maybe LA Galaxy will evolve into a title-contender, but that remains to be seen.

Barca usually faced packed boxes so maybe he could have flitted around in those tight spaces doing quick short passes. Oh well.

Guaranteed defensive liability every second he is on the pitch. Played golf with Laporta, brown-nosed, then he said he would get more playing time (he didn't). Then when Xavi came, his daddy changed his agent to the one that represents Xavi, another weasel move to try and get more minutes. Well, he cost the team 2 losses and a draw last season despite only having a few minutes.
