Why do you crease your score lines both ways?

Hi Brenda! I crease both ways because the paper fiber that runs under the printed design is stressed when it's folded. Have you ever noticed a cracking and splitting of the paper at the fold? Have you ever been annoyed by a white crack or fuzzy edge where you fold your cardstock? On a printed paper the white shows through sometimes as the paper fibers stretch and break as you fold. If you fold inside out first the distress happens inside the card or box and no one sees the white core and or fuzzy ends at the fold. It makes a cleaner finished project. Clear as mud?
