Hi Risa! One of your number one fans coming back to tell you that I LOVE LOVE LOVE this foundation! You looked flawless in it, and so does everyone else I know who's tried it! I am really into Korean Skincare/Makeup. With TirTir, I get the Tir Tir My Glow Cream Cushion Hydrating Dewy Finish in 21N Ivory, because I have dry skin, it comes in a white case and OMG! Robert’s video was great! I was unimpressed with this foundation until watching his video. I tried it with his tips and that was a game changer. I can apply a very thin layer to most of my dry, mature, textured skin and it looks flawless. I have redness on my cheeks that I have never been able to cover with a foundation without it looking a bit cakey and dry as it wears. I gave up and haven’t worn blush in a decade. I am in the blush game now! I love the formula and am obsessed with the sponge, most people use it incorrectly but by using the whole sponge with very little product I get great results.

I am in my mid sixties with very fair dry skin. I purchased the small size in porcelain. It really works so nicely on me. I have been wearing it pretty much every time I wear foundation this summer. I get so many compliments on my skin when I wear it. I apply it quite sparingly. It covers my redness without looking like I’m wearing a mask or heavy makeup. It’s a 10/10 for me.

I tried both the original and the matte formulas. Don’t see much difference in oil control but maybe that’s just me. But I do love the way it looks and just top it with powder for help controlling oil. Thanks Risa!

I am so glad you finally tried it! I live in North Central Texas and it usually gets VERY HOT here ESPECIALLY when you're over 50 AND menopausal like me! LoL I was SOLD on it when Stephanie Marie tried it and she lives in New Orleans and when she said that it worked for her and her hot/humid climate I was SOLD! LoL. I LOVE it! I really struggled with this foundation at first and now LOVE it!! I first ordered 3 shades & all were too dark. I finally tried a lighter color and while it matched me, I thought the coverage was too heavy. With that said….my recommendation is to use a light hand and order a lighter shade than you think you need. I used the enclosed pad to apply, but my StansOut sponge to blend. Now it makes my skin flawless and last all day!! 🩷💜❤️

I have tried this foundation several times and have achieved the best look using a very small amount of product and applying it with a foundation brush. It is possible I apply to much when using their applicator. I have normal to slightly dry skin and it lasts at least 10 hours for me. Thank you so very much for this video

I use this one and their Aura Glow one. I apply both of them with a small, dense, flat brush to push the foundation into the skin. They really are beautiful foundations.

Risa, I'm similar age to you and also have extremely oily/textured skin. Ever since I've recieved this foundation, 2 weeks ago, I haven't applied anything else. I always need matte primer regardless, but the way this foundation looks as the day progresses is simply stunning. Even with a couple of blots per day, the way it melds into the skin, and doesn't slide off the oily texture is amazing. I've ordered the sample pack from yesstyle, so found my colour match easily. I actually use a brush to apply it, followed by the sponge to press it down around the nasal area. If they do a matte version 😱 that would be the only foundation I'll need, ever. Yes please, test out the matte version for us oily gals 😊

I’m using and in LOVE with the pink Tir Tir cushion. They say it’s more matte than the red, but I personally don’t think so. I think they’re equal but there is just something special about the pink! 💖 It far exceeded the red version for my normal/combo 50 year old skin. I apply in a very thin layer and it looks so natural and skin like. Unlike anything I’ve ever used in my life. ❤️

@@midlifemom5829I tried red first and got 21N which was too yellow so when I tried the pink I went down to 17C. It has been perfect! Some people say they oxidize and to go down a shade in the red so even more reason I went down. I haven’t had any problems at all with oxidation personally. For reference, I’m fair, shade 1C1 cool bone (or lighter in the winter) in ELDW. The red was thicker, heavier, more mask like on me even though they say the pink is the most matte. Maybe get the sample pack in red to get the shade and coverage you prefer dialed in! Hope that helps some!

The foundation looked really good on you! One thing I always do when it comes to k/j - beauty is to find a creator from that country. Even when it comes to skin care. I’ve seen a few Korean creators apply this foundation and they do it in really really thin layers. I haven’t tried the foundation myself because of the strange shades and shade names. I (finally) purchased this product during Prime Days and I got 23 N (sand). It is a great match for me and has worked extremely well even with my 46 year old, oily skin! I also live in an area that has been not only incredibly hot, but ridiculously humid this summer. I love this foundation! My first cushion…I just saw a review of their silver compact glow one but doesn’t last as long as matte, red compact. Robert welsh showed me how to use it proper, but Tati was the first video I saw on it.

I have moderately dry skin now but it’s drier in winter. I’m not crazy about this foundation because it makes my upper cheeks look wrinklier even with extra moisturizing skin prep. That’s where I also have some discoloration that I want to hide. I just can’t build this foundation up in that area without emphasizing wrinkles even more. I thought about trying the more moisturizing TirTir, in the silver compact but it isn’t offered in colors darker than 23N. I’m a 25N. There’s just so many other foundations that look better on my skin. For those whose skin is more suited to this foundation, I found that sweeping it on with a fluffy brush allows more control when it comes to levels of coverage and helps smooth the finish.

Hi Risa. You and I share the same oily skin gene and similar skin tone. I purchased the tirtir in the pink packaging and this one was most matte finish of the brand. Even with this formula, I was oily by 6-7 hours in. The veil primer and OS setting spray gave me about an extra hour of wear time. Thank you Risa for being authentic and honest. I got the 35N and it was too dark, but I used it as a contour and to cover the acne scars that are on my cheeks. I wore this for 17 hours while visiting Savannah, Georgia, which is a very hot and humid place. I put it on at 9:30AM and removed at around 3AM the next day. First I dabbed the Tirtir on my acne scars. The ease with which this goes on is unbelievable. I then followed with the Bare Minerals powder in my skin tone to set, because of how hot and humid Savannah is. Lastly, I spritzed the Tula Signature Glow Face Mist over my whole face. This foundation looked skin like and was flawless after 17 hours of wear in a hot climate, where I sweated all day as I was out and about touring the city. We ended up at a Taco spot at 2AM and when I went to the ladies room and stared into the mirror, I could not believe how amazing it looked. Its as if it became more skin like as time passed and still covered my scars. What sort of witchcraft is this? This is the number one foundation in Japan for a reason. The stuff works. Color matching may be a problem though. I wasn't sure if I was a 35N or a 40N so I ended up buying both. 40N is really too dark for me, but I'll repurpose as contour as well. I've ordered the 34N and 33N and am hoping one of these are a match. Tirtir doesnt do a good job showing the colors for matching but the foundation itself is gold. I don't see myself using anything else once I find a match. The stuff is magic, it really is.

I saw Robert Welch demo this foundation and the whole key seem to be not applying to much. He used 3 fingers on the applicator as that controls the whole sponge application. I am loving this foundation as I live in a hot humid state and this makes my skin look perfect and it lasts all day. I like to see more than one way to apply this and it is OK you weren’t the first. You are correct about the shade not working at all if it isn’t right.

I'm glad you got around to reviewing the tirtir foundation. I think they make 2 other formulas. Maybe one is for oily skin. I, too, watched a lot of other creators show how to use this. Robert Walsh showed to use the whole puff, not just the tip, and Nikki used it that way, but showed how to use a brush. She used the BK 106.

Love this foundation even on my wrinkled 64 ur old skin. It applies so easily. I am a shade or 2 darker than you and believe 23 n would be a perfect match for you without tanner. I am currently wearing mocha but have 23n and 24w. This mocha is a bit light when I tan but the next shade would be too deep. Great foundation, wears beautifully without settling in my wrinkles but shade match is difficult. Hopefully they will expand the range. Thank you for such a thorough review😍

I have Lupus, and periodically get a Malar (Butterfly) Rash across both sides of my face. It is very pronounced and I have never found a make-up or even combination of make-ups that will cover it. One application of this Tir Tir foundation covers that rash completely. I even went in to see my dermatologist and rheumatologist to show them, and they were both shocked at the coverage. At 76 years old, this even covers sun spots, hides wrinkles and creases, and I no longer have to use concealer anywhere. And, it's affordable. Who could ask for anything more???

I've tried so many foundations -- from LaPrairie, LaMer, Chanel, to Loreal Double-Wear. Tried the TirTir and I'll never look back! I have combo skin (normal T-zone issues), so in the summer I am going to use the Matte TirTir (in the pink container). It' amazing -- I use just a touch of powder to set and I'm good for over 12 hours. I can see the Red TirTir formula being perfect in our winter dry months. I think it's a fantastic deal and a GREAT product! I'll be interested to know your thoughts if you pick up the matte formula.

Hi Risa. I love the tir tir foundation. I have combination skin. I was so shocked at how well it works!! You are correct that there is a learning curve to use this. I too put on way too much the 1st time and it looked terrible on me. For me I have to use a foundation brush to apply this one. Unfortunately can't use that pad that comes with it. A little goes a long way. I live in the south east us. I took this to Charleston sc with me and this stuff held throughout all the humidity!! It's great. I'm glad to see you gave it a other chance as well and gave your honest opinion. It's a good foundation for the price for sure.

I definitely could see the shine on the side you didn’t use the primer. I have dry skin so that won’t be a problem for me. It looked great on you and anxious to give it a try. I’ve seen mixed reviews on the TirTir cushion foundation. The shade you used looks much darker on Amazon so that helps me choose my shade. Thanks Risa 😊

Robert Welsh uses his first and ring finger in the sponge loop then the middle finger on top. My daughter in law loves the sponge but I prefer a round brush. We are both hooked on this foundation and now I am using their skin care products. Hope this works for you. I just filled mine with L’Oréal Fresh Wear and that looks good too. I wear Sand and Latte.

I’ve seen it applied with the BK 107 brush and lightly powdered. I’m going to try it that way. Oh, and a primer. I’m an oily gal too.

I found this review very helpful despite having used this for about a month. I would love a review of the semi matte. I am older than you and quite oily still. I have never used cool toned foundations but with this one I am cool. I use 15C and right now it’s a bit too light but it was fine a month ago. Hope that helps you.

Great review Risa! ❤ I have combo skin and live in South Florida. I absolutely love this foundation, I don't use a primer but I do lightly powder my T-zone. The wear time is 8 to 10 even with the humidity without a touch up for me. Highly recommend 😊😊❤

I'm 53 with combination skin, oily in T zone and dry on cheeks and chin. I have really sensitive skin. I wore this foundation to Cedar Point amusement park last week and it lasted all day both days. It did not slide off or fade away. I did get a little shiny but I don't mind that. I don't like a matte look. I was really impressed with its wear time and how it made my skin look flawless. I purchased 21N Ivory.

I have your exact skin tone. All of the neutral shades are very yellow. I finally tried a cool tone shade and although it still was a bit warm, it was much better. I got 27C bcuz I spray tan in the summer but I’ll go lighter for winter. I did think it made my skin look really pretty. I’m also oily skinned so I had to powder to set it

For less coverage - maybe a little more natural look- I use a brush. I bought it on Amazon prime day and scored with a perfect match. Whew! That never happens. I really am loving this product. I have oily skin as well and need to try that primer you have!

My eyes have become super sensitive with age as well, I need to wear clean mascara and eyeliner however I’ve been okay with the shadows I use. Love the foundation on you! I have combination skin and might try it, I’m excited.

OMG I love this foundation and I am OILY OILY OILY! I've been waiting for you to review this. I think that it's a foundation it is formulated for an environment which is HUMID - not like here -- I mean WET AIR! The colors are also the same, I think. Culturally the skin in that part of the world is lighter than here.
