Thank you very much indeed for these lovely pictures of Edie. I have never seen these ones before. She was lovely when she got married and had gorgeous big brown eyes. Most photos of her with Andy were in black and white so I did not know what color her eyes where before hand. She was even more beautiful without any makeup of any kind on. I wish I could have befriended her in real life. She just needed lots of love and lots of guidance to help her stay clean from drugs. Granted drug use is hell to stay off of but I have been there myself with proper prescription medication that my doctors help me stay safe on. I had to be withdrawn on opiates and man I was sick. The doctor and nurses told me I was detoxing like a drug addict would! So, I can appreciate where she may have been coming from plus a whole bunch of other things I could relate personally to her. Such a shame because, I think she was a beautiful spirit really. May Edie rest in peace.

Great collection of photos here, many really rare as well. I'll be honest, I have been a researcher of her for years, You really should rework this and change the backing music. I just removed the track you had under it and replaced it with a few different tracks that reflected the time and people she was involved with-Well done. Just bad music choices.

The song that youtube allowed you to use is actually pretty spot on. The singer is asking to be woken up and brought to life by the love of another person. Seems very much what Edie was probably looking for herself.

If you turn the sound down, it's OK. Anyway, there's a real timelessness to some of her photos, she could have been lifted from 2017 and placed into 1965...I needed to remind myself many of them were taken 52 years ago.

"Bring me to life!"? No one was more alive than Edie, she was so much more than Andy Warhol's "SUPERSTAR"! I think Edie was way ahead of her time, leaving her feeling alone & often misunderstood, that's probably why she connected so well with Andy. R.I.P Edie, a very unique and beautiful young woman.

So, being one of the most gorgeous women ever and ending your life pretty much the same but with with longer, darker hair is a "rise and fall"? It's terrible that, and a goddamn shame, she died as young as she did but this video doesn't show anything other than how incredibly attractive she was.

Speed is insidious. it makes you skinnier, so you maintain the "beauty" longer. It did affect her looks in the end, she added alcohol, as did Judy Garland after speed.

Warhol used her, then threw her away, if she had landed a big modeling contract and gotten clean, he would have been running after her, he was a huge leech and others saw threw him, she didn't, too trusting.

That is an interesting commentary. The book "Edie" portrayed the relationship between Andy Warhol and Edie Sedgwick in terms of he used her. Reading "The Andy Warhol Diaries" gives a different spin, where Andy Warhol (who apparently was not formally interviewed for the book "Edie") is one of Edie's stops on her way through the life she created when she went to New York. Her time with the Warhol crowd seemed to be maybe a year, tops.

What makes here life and death a real tragedy is that she stood for something else than the stars of the illuminaty who are just doing the complementary brainwash of this industry of death. Very often they are sacrificed too, specialy when they become aware of the way they are abused, but here the deviance from the usual repression and social norm of the petty bourgeoise is authentic and serves as phantastic dream, whos faith is reflected in that of the single individual. That makes it a real tragedy, and the "music" underlying this clip so misplaced (apart from the fact, that it is misplaced everywhere else too of course)

Miss Malibu California Good question, but I have to admit that Im personaly unable to give names and adress, and can only trie to determine them more exact in a formal way: I refered to them as the secret societies pulling the strings on the geopolitical chessboard and also in particular industries after they have made a social movment an industrie. So they are the upper echelons behind the scene and the anonymos character is part of their nature and without further internal differentiation and for the purpose of my argument here, I dare to use this term as topic for this manipulating class, secret and fluctuating anyhow, wich corrupts a social movement to pure prostituaion if it has been something different in its origins, or uses it in this way if not. So they are the pimps who enslave the rest of the world, and specialy in music or performance i imagine they are dominant, as the man in black. Here on youtube there are videos about stars assasined by the illuminatie, complete kill-lists. Without beeing a fan of micel jackson, or wanting to compare him to the scene around Warhol, i remind on his pertinent interview where he talks about the conspiracy behind him and others, probably signing his death-sentence in doing so - its all on youtube. But of course this is only one aspect of them, the whole project of the so called new world order is far beyond of this manipulations and assasinations. Sorry if this may sound more like spreading rumors, but even if it is hard exactly to trace back on certain names, at least for me, I think that there is evidence which cant be ignored, and its articulation should not be intimidated by this deficit. As I sayed: have a look on youtube, as far as one can determine without belonging to them, the answer can be found there.

@@michaele.2583 I'm starting to wonder if Andy and the Factory was an MK Ultra/CIA operation. Modern art was created by the CIA as a form of mind control. Think of Jackson Pollack and his drips on the canvas. Edie came from a prominent family, was raped by her father and stuck in a mental hospital and given electroshock therapy, which could be argued is a form of what MK Ultra'd people are given. Why was Andy a magnet for these schizoid people? Sounds like he was Edie's handler. You can see him with her in so many pictures and then all of a sudden he stopped.
