The Parthians also known as the Arsacid Empire ruled from 247 BCE to 224 CE creating a vast empire that stretched from the Mediterranean in the west to India and China in the east.
East of the Caspian Sea there emerged from the steppe of Central Asia a nomadic Scythian tribe called the Parni.
Later called the Parthians and taking over the Seleucid Empire and fending off the Romans, they established themselves as a superpower in their own right.

@@arioarashdadkhahaseman1889 If by Iran you mean the current stolen geography-you're wrong- if you mean the ancient region (Ariana_Khorsan_Persia-Afghanistan) I'd agree that Yes Parthians are from Parni (a tribe in Afghanistan- majority of them are Afghans with soldiers from Kurds and Balochs living on the existing borders- I wrote a thesis on ancient evolved empires in Greece- you'll burn your shelf when you start reading the genuine history of the region and spit on how recent iranian historians have lied :D

​@@kanitvi514Parni were only a small part of Parthians. Historical Parhia (as region) includs lands between modern Teheran and Herat in modern Afganistan (where Area begins). In middle persian Parthia (Parthava) was called Pahlav, also name of middle persian is pahlavi. Anyway that time all major tribes and people of Iran and Afghanistan (ancient Bactria) were iranic by origin.
