League is a 5 vs 5 game where you pick a character and work as a team to destroy the enemy's base. as the game goes on you can build items to increase your stats, and gain experience to level up your characters skills. Some items give skills like bonus speed, strength, shields, etc. but they are not featured in this video. Every weapon represents a character in the game. This music video basically tells the story of a real pro player, Kang "Ambition" Chan-yong, and his journey to win the 2017 world championship and some of the players he had to go through to do so. At the beginning he picks up weapons representing some of the characters he has played, the sickles are Kha'Zix's claws, the flail is Sejuani, and the spear is Jarvan IV. The guy with the sword is Luka "Perkz" Perković as Yasuo. The Guy with the crossbow is Jian "Uzi" Zi-Hao as Vayne. The last guy with the scroll and book is Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok as Ryze. Faker is a 3 time world champion and is regarded as the the best player of all time. The last fight also has deep significance since when Faker debuted, he face off against Ambition and beat him handedly and he had been living in Faker's shadow ever since.

@@Risktakerjodi You can team up with friends and play against random players or you can play solo and get paired with random players. if you have a group, you can also set up custom games and set the teams up however you want, 1v1, 3v3 etc. There are some unique game modes that get tossed in here and there for certain events but the game is mainly played as 5v5.

This video is essentially packed with legendary players who face each other off. The fights and tactics you see are adopted by champions in games that they have played at one point or another on the pro scene. It's them fighting each other off for the title. Very symbolic and dope when you do recognise the little things. Been binging all of your league content, really enjoy your stuff, sir! Have a good one.

Little context to these songs. Every character you see is an actual pro player using weapons/ abilities of in-game champions. In this song, the main character is pro player Ambition. It follows his journey at Worlds 2018 as he defeated those players you saw and won Worlds with his team. In the beginning, he picked up 3 weapons. 2 purple swords, a polearm and a blue crystal. They represent champions he used in each of those games as he defeated his opponents. League is MOBA, top-down 5v5 battle arena where teams fight against each other. There are champions that players pick before the game that they use till 1 team destroys another team Nexus (base). During the final scene, you see statues and little glowing symbols. Those are teams that have won Worlds in previous years. The last guy he fought was Pro player Faker know also as Unkillable Deamon King, the best player in the World and a legend of LoL, you will see him in many League songs. He is like Kobe of League. Fun fact: Faker in this video is using a champion called Ryze which sounds the same as rise. All-League songs have a deeper meaning to them and follow certain stories that happened usually at Worlds the year before. Riot really pays respect to their pro players and it shows. I highly recommend watching them all. People sometimes joke that Riot made a game so they get money to make music. Btw they also have a metal/rock band called Pentakill. Check songs like Lightbringer, Last Chapter, Mortal reminder (this one also got dope MV). Other dope Riot songs: warriors (2014 original and new one), awaken, legends never die, Phoenix, Enemy (imagine dragons, jidd), take over, burn it all down, get jinxed, and all the KDA songs. Q: No sexy ladies, why did this get so much hype? Me: Oh you'll see. :D Also, pre-covid they had stadiums filled with people and the top two teams were in the centre of the stage in order to win the 1st place and they performed the songs live as well. I will never talk down about KDA, but this song is the most PUMPED UP song you can hear to this date to get into the mood before you play the game.. just an epic scale!

I realised that towards the end of the end of the video :) I would say that you could dip your toes in the live performances of KDA at the LOL Worlds 2018 ..they mix the champions as holograms with the singers on stage. I believe my memory is correct that people tuning in by an app could see the computer generated stuff on stage instead of just on the large monitors or online. It's both a good way for you to see the hype of the game and the way they use their songs irl.. The song used in 2018 is popstars so you've already heard it though.. :) Also don't be afraid of LOL if you ever try to play it.. there are alot of salty players in the game but you ha e an option to play alone with 4 AI players vs 5 AI players or on easy mode with 5 humans vs 5 AI players -and the game have a good tutorial. You seem interested and the game is free.. sadly I don't get paid or play it anymore but I have had alot of fun in it so it might be a good thing if you turn out to like it. Some people like me just like to follow the game live and to see other people find it. After understanding the game a lottle it's like going to the superbowl at worlds... I even think that LOL won at viewers overall one year, but I might be wrong. Anyways, like the reactions. :)

So essentially it’s a 5v5 team game. The people in this video are based off actual pro players. The weapons they used are based off each person’s signature champion. Every year they release a worlds song that typically focuses on the players more than the in game characters.

So this World video is seeped in Esports details but here's the deal: it depicts the journey of one of the world’s most famous players Kang “Ambition” Chan-yong (main character you follow) who won the tournament in 2017 along with his team Samsung Galaxy. During his climb, Kang uses some of the weapons of his most played champions at the tournament and faces off with other famous players from 2017 tournament, first fight is G2 Esports’ Luka “Perkz” Perković as Yasuo and second fight is Jian “Uzi” Zi-Hao as Vayne. Once he finally reaches the summit, Kang faces off against the final test, SKT1 Faker playing Ryze, and wins. The environments feature old team banners, champions and, at the end, the circle of statues have logos of all the teams that have won Worlds (which after he beats Faker, Samsung's logo is added to a statue). Then the last shots are showing other players on their own climbs, including Yiliang “Doublelift” Peng, Paul “sOAZ” Boyer, and the defeated Uzi.

The guy you are following is Ambition, he carried his team to the world finals and the opponents he faces are actually the other players suited up with the weapons of the champions they played. ie. Faker the world number one mid played Ryze.

You got it right about the song being an Anthem. League of Legends eSports does a World Championship every year from October-November. Each year they release a new Anthem (Hype) Song/Video. This was the Worlds 2018 Championship Anthem. Check out the 2019, 2020, and 2021 ones as well! The Live eSports championship event (pre-pandemic) Pulled in 20k plus live audience and 6 million plus live digital viewers.

@@Risktakerjodi Dont just watch the songs during opening but watch it till beginning, its great show and everything you see is either done via hologramic walls that also audience can see (live performance of True Damage Giants) or live performance of songs like KDA Pop/Stars where they used AR (augmented reality) and audience had special app in their phones so if they aimed their camera at the stage they could all see it same as you when watching.
