The way I feel is that Beyoncé stole the spotlight from the black country music artists who were already doing their thing and had songs on Pandora (as well as mainstream radio stations) and videos on KZbin and other social platforms for YEARS now. Beyoncé is Regina George and that’s all there is to it. Beyoncé is overrated, but Tanner is a STAR! Make way for the buckle bunny, she’s coming through! 🫶🏼🤩🥰

🤦🏾‍♂️ This isn't country. It merely opens as country and then switches to Trap/Pop. The genre requires more than a "hay stack accent" and guitar. There's Dozens of actual, long running, and accomplished, black people in the country space. ✔️Diction/Dialect ✔️Vocabulary ✔️Drum tempo and swing. ✔️ Instrument Priority & Placement ✔️And authenticity of all the above.
