If you have a tons of rss and speedup, feel free to use t5 anytime,

I used to think T5 was everything but I only field t4. I reached top 8 in kill event against whales using T4. I use T5 for flags and rallies only. Using T4 you get more efficient trades, faster marches, the damage is only slightly lower, and if targeted the enemy will suffer more as you can draw out their T5 march to die. So you will always win 1vs1 wipe.

To lower cost I would recommend a 50:50 ratio of t4 and t5

The game requires patience but the journey is fun as it is demanding. If you have the time for it then yes I would at least give it a try. The game only takes about 20 minutes everyday to do daily quests but hours during war.
