Hey, I know it's a little early to be giving new ideas for challenge play throughs, as I'm sure you're having fun here and will continue to enjoy the desert for many moons, but I just thought of an interesting run that I might try myself, so I thought I'd share. The All Inclusive Club, where you accept every wanderer, every wildman, every quest for additional pawns, every crash lander, and try to save as many people from raids as possible. Would propose some interesting logistical issues and really test those macro management skills I feel. For an additional challenge, you can attempt to kidnap every small group of travelers passing through.

I've finally started heading towards the ship after like 200 hours of game time in this. Boy settling in a new place is a hell of a thing. Twice in a ROW my colonists said "Yeah, here's good" and dumped half our stuff in water... And then everyone's breaking because they lost all their creature comforts. But you know, it's also awesome because your wealth drops through the floor and suddenly raids become easy, oh The Pirates are attacking me with clubs and ikwa's? Hey aa if you press custom dificulty, you can set the custom parameters to another difficulty's. There you can choose losing is fun, then lower the disease chances so you won't die of malaria or something

there is a mod you might like, it's vanilla factions expanded Insectiods, and one of the weapons the plasma scattergun is pretty good for knocking people down without serious injuries, haven't played with the other weapons from that mod. I also think it would be good for a future roleplay/playthrough series
