I love a game that has a good story, and Greek Myths and Legends are some of my favourite. In this game, we can play as Jason on his travels to find the Golden Fleece, but how close to the story does the game stick?

My favourite Myths & legends are Gaelic/Celtic but I enjoy most of them to be fair, I missed this back in the day but looks fun, nice to see Jay and his gang adventuring again, one of the voice actors sounds like Master Shiunsai from Tenchu 2 haha.🥷 Nice review lass hope you have a nice weekend ahoy!🌠🎮🐍🍀

I think the best Greek Myth stuff was the "Cretan Chronicles" gamebook series back in the 1980s. Some lovely ideas in there. This had some nice ideas... but so much talking. Alcmene was hot though....

Ooh I never heard of a Greek myths gamebook series...that sounds amazing! I'll have to track it down! Haha ya it was like sitting in class after a while....just being fed information in huge chunks 😆 haha that's how they hook you, kill off the pretty one so you're motivated to bring her back 🤣

I've got this one on my shelf but haven't played it yet. I'm a big fan of Ancient Greek myths and plays, so I couldn't quite work out why they would lean into the dialogue side of it so hard, when from what you said, they must have changed the story is some pretty fundamental ways. I guess I'll have to play it for myself.

@@okgamergirl I used to get upset that they'd change mythological stories in films and games, but then I realised; That's just the nature of storytelling. It's literally how it works.

Ya, as much as we want media to stick close to the original, it doesn't always fit right! Plus they have to modernize a story to make it appealing to audiences every decade or two

I hate when games make it incredibly unclear on what to do or where to go! Herc be massive though! One to pick up if i ever see it, seems like something that would interest me!
