the kanjo szene is my favourite street racing szene of all time! I love how these little civic's get pushed to there limits on a highway at night somewhere in japan. I would love to "continue" this szene here in germany were we can speed legaly on the autobahn, but you can't realy do anything to your car without get in trouble with the police. Anyway very good video, love from germany👍

The kanjo scene is my most favorite car scene out there when I first came across it a decade ago I just loved the culture and history behind it and being a Honda guy and why the reason why they use them attracted me even more, you’re right it was and still is underground it’s great to see people still notice it

Love your video! I love your writing style even if a few words were a bit confusing lol. But dead ass I wouldnt be too surprised if your channel blew up! But I've been saving up for a project car and I'm looking at an '89 civic hatch and its gonna be a kanjo style build for sure! The sound of those B series motors screaming is addicting.

Here in the Philippines there was a recently disbanded kanjo group "Stealth Image" , they had the usuals you'd see in kanjo culture like the civics but then there were cars that stood out to me like the boxtype lancer that was in their group as well as a suzuki celerio. As of now there's a new group called the zodiacs which inclues a few of the members from stealth image alongside some new civics that I've never seen before, they even have a mazda 3 hatchback included.

Firstly Thanks for covering this topic I was worried that people outside Japan forgot about this culture. I wanted to make a few corrections and add some points though. it sounded when you were talking as if kanjozoku was a car club however Kanjozoku is a Japanese car culture that have car clubs within that culture thewording you used sounded like the Kanjozoku was a car club itself . to your credit you did mention some of the clubs like "Top Gun" and "No Good". Some more shots of civics while you narrated would have fit in better instead of shots of different brands (like the clip of the old Toyota Chaser) since this a Honda Civic specific genre of Japanese car culture. These are just small critiques to refine your already great body of work....you have great potential....keep on doing what you are doing 👍🏾☺️🏎️🔰🔥

Actually many cars specific to this genre here in Osaka were used prior to the Civic. The groups (mentioned) were formed in the 80’s but this genre was actually active in the 70’s. The video is basically a reworded mash up of other information Nd misinformation he’s found.

The Kanjo Loop Racers are a fairly unknown racing club who race on an Osaka highway called the "Loop" Very little is know about the Japanese Civic racers but their impact on car culture is huge.

Interesting and well articulated. I wonder if the high cost of ownership of the new Civics will change the demographic. Japan’s boom economy is long over so Kanjo racers may become the wealthier type like the Wangan racers, who can afford the higher cost of ownership and penalties.

Imagine how cool is that culture and how many plots there could be, and they are filming about nonsense flying cars and plane stealing in FF, no doubt they are lacking ideas.

The netting on there windows is not to hide there identity, it’s there in case they crash the car, to keep there arm from accidentally flying out of the window, the net will keep there arm inside the cockpit, take care.

Are they not interested in the 10th gen civics in Japan? Did must have gotten atleast the hatchbacks there? I know they're friggin huge compared to the beloved eg and ek civics, but still. I can't find anything even on KZbin of the 10th gen civic in Japan. If I do it's only the type R which is generally out of the reach of most people. Especially these days with the insane mark ups on those cars. Not worth it honestly.
