The reason why your Solar burst had a giant AOE field around it was because you chose the Pandora Protocol which gave u access to the Pandora railgun nuclear artillery and it also comes with upgrading your solar burst to have a giant AOE field.

I like how they tried to make the ECA dependent on a single building for power. But I think they should have it be upgraded to give maximum power via and upgraded and General points such as lvl 1, 2, and 3. Also I wonder if there's a way to make a rail system for Russian supplies?

All of their models are up to new standard. New units got new voice actors. Old units usually are reworked. Also, they're supposed to get three new Generals each. I mean, story wise, this mod is taking place after ZH, so it makes sense.

Bro, its awesome! But, plz, remember - engineering outpost repairs only vehicles, not buildings. For repair frontline defence's, you need Field Command (lil' HQ, with repair aura), Warhound AVRE, in digged mode, or Engineer in stance mode. (AVRE and Engy, need a "field repair" research for that.) Additional ammo stockpiles/bunker/trucks will boosting damage of ur defences in their aura radius. (Boosted units painted red). All (maybe) arty units have ability to show their range, but red circle - is "danger close", some blind zone, while yellow circle - means max radius of firing. After upgrading, Felin (riflemans) take MANPADs, Panzerfaust (AT inf) take a anti-garrison weaponry. Try to use a tear gas rounds - it pretty good decrease enemy fighting conditions (shorter range, detection, etc). Shrapnel, pretty good against inf, but still, gas is good for force enemy units go in your turrets range. Oh, yea, gas rounds is only for mortar emplacement, and mortar soldier - mortar truck cannot use them, but his buff when he start firing faster if shoot continuously, still very useful, especially with "Cluster charges" upgrade. When those pesky stealth units annoying ya - try to use mobile sensor array - that machine reveals stealth in pretty good radius, when set stationary. Or set your MG tower in "sensor" mode. Early, you set it in "Observer" mode, what provide good sight range, but dont reveal stealth.

Btw, there's a "hanpatch" addon that makes alot of interesting changes on the game, here's the few changes: 1. All factions get their "main" upgrade automatically chosen when you reach 5 star general (like ECA's prototype protocols, China's EMP bomber, GLA's Scrambler Tech, Etc.). 2. Some vehicles are remodeled because they wanted to change it (like the Golem tank), and because of a specific upgrade / powerup (like china's mass production option where all tanks produced would look like they're released the moment the main functions are working, making them look, you guessed it, mass produced). 3. Specific units of the ECA are now changed to something else (like the mortar track is replaced with a wheeled, immobile switching artillery) because of a interesting change where the ECA has now the normal and veteran units on the deployment zone. The mortar track is now in that group. 4. The GLA has the ability to research scrap of other factions when you reach either a specific time, or when you reach 2-3 star general. This gives the GLA a some sort of fighting chance. The GLA toxin tanker recycler is now replaced with a funny looking, multiple toxin rocket launcher. 5. Idk what they did to China and the USA but they had been altered in some way (never seen some changes unit wise besides china and USA getting some unit remodels). 6. Russia can only make a single ICBM bunker but it can be launched anywhere now so you're not forced to build it in the middle of the map in the cost of only having one. 7. The ECA Solaris cannon is now switched. The longer attack is now the default while the instant burst is now on the pandora protocol. 8. The GLA's hyena interceptor can only use the MG for aircraft while 2 missiles for any ground units. I think it's the same on the normal version but idk anymore. 9. The GLA battle bus can now change into an enemy tank. Idk if it's also included in the default version but it's a change that I like. It's also nerfed to only have 6 passengers, Making it a battle shortbus / battle van now imo. There's alot more changes and also balancing damage wise but idk the rest.

RotR factions somewhat feel inspired by act of war: direct action and its expansion high treason. Very interesting classic and tactical RTS mix and the best games eugene soft ever made ( i find everything after that to pale in comparison). I highly recommend it and its a somewhat forgotten gem right at the end of the golden age of classic RTS's right along there with the likes of generals. IT has so many interesting ideas and quirks and the expansion is even better as they further refined many features and the single player missions are just some of the best in RTS , i am an open C&C fanboy but i will in general rank many average AoW missions higher then some of the best C&C ones

A tip for someone that also playing ECA with this mod. Get ECA's commando. He is able to sabotage enemy buildings. If you manage to get him by their defensive line, then use that on their super weapon. Not only will it reset the clock on the super weapon, but also for a short moment cut power to it (The AI or player wont be able to use it) Use the sabotage on the same super weapon again will add time to it. I had managed to get US' super weapon to have a countdown of 10 minutes or so by just doing that XD And I dont know if you had tried this in the video as I havent seen it all yet

Not only that, doing the same to enemy supply building will not only disable the building and prevent the harvesters from dropping in resources (thus stopping their cash flow from that building temporarily), you will also steal a part of enemy's money.

good luck getting him past the russian defensive lines, and the ai always buys the thermal goggles upgrade for the conscripts (stealth detection, that works while garrisoned, and it has really good range too) and they're *swarming* the base

I like CnC Generals for the sole fact that no one can be good at it, the AI is brutal, holds no punches yet you have all the modern convenience of a "modern" RTS, which I say is a nice balance, and even the amount of chaos you can stir up? Pure destruction, to me, CnC Generals is an AI that saids "I want you dead" as a statement, not "I want you dead, Fear me!".

That missile at 7:28 was actually a recon missile that the Russians can fire. Not a scud. They don't do much damage, but they are annoying during the early game.

a bit of information when it comes to figthing russia : they always rush even on medium diff, try to cut their resources by destroying their second and if possible first economy in 10 to 15 minutes then plan a decisive attack to finish em otherwise just defend (or try to defend if your GLA). if not then you might find yourself in a bit of shitty situation where you might have to defend against endless waves till enemy runs out of resources (which they will after a very long time). source : my computer crashed after defending for so long (near 1 hour of continius defense) also sorry for bad english its not my native language

Generals/Zero Hour has a mod manager called GenLauncher that lets you easily download the mod from a list. I believe this version is base game, but there is a Zero Hour version as well (unless Im wrong and this is Zero Hour already). It works for Steam version as well.

Yooo my dude, do the Generals Zero Hour Enhanced mod. Tho the current version is still from 2015 or 2016, it has great realism in it. The infantry is much more usable and the tanks hit really hard, the artillery are actually pretty long ranged. Best mod I've ever played, the only downside is that the newer version is still on the works and challenge isn't available to my knowledge.

Yes, there are a lot of things here, but this does not correspond to the setting of the Generals at all. Russia and the European Alliance look strange. It's more like RA2 or wh40k.

This mods setting is happening quite some time after the ZH events took place. While Russians have Tesla technology being part of one of their General's arsenal, as a RA tribute, or ECA having two huge clunky super soldiers as an optional unlock later in the game, these factions have their own distinct feels. Russia feels like ROTRs Russia, same way as Gen/ZH USA feels different from RA2 version. Only problem imo is that Russia uses too many real life weaponry, Gen/ZH had only few RL designs.
