Even a pc dogma player went to play the dd2 demo & He said " seems slower then i remember " He didnt realize it was cuz of the 30 till i brought it up lol. The problem with the horse animation is that the devs have probably never seen a real horse.

It is a copy paste model from older Koei Tecmo (the publisher that owns Team Ninja) games like Dynasty Warriors. For example Dynasty Warriors 9 has the exact same horse. They used the same horse model for Nioh 2 cutscenes. And now its in Rise of the Ronin. So its looks bad because it literally was created for way older games. Its basically like Rockstar Games putting a GTA 3 car model with its original graphics / quality into GTA 6. Thats not a good idea

At times I thought maybe they wont switch to better engines because of cost, downtime for developers to adapt, general production models etc.. but in this day in age with something like Unreal 5. I dont get it.. why use models and animations that are over 10 years old? I dont understand.. its gotta be "comfortability".... imagine if this was done in Unreal Engine 5 or the RE Capcom Engine? Or even the engine that runs Horizon Forbidden West and Death Stranding. The gameplay, effects, vibe, and overall feel would be much more appealing to play and engage within. really dont get why they keep shooting themselves in the foot wasting time loll

I appreciate you more detailed look into the skills trees, combat depth,..etc, because I have been hearing mixed things regarding the depth of the combat systems. Some say its even simpler then the Wo Long (which it liked), and some (like you) make it seem like typical TN fashion where depending on where the amount of depth the player gets is dependent on the players build/focus for their character. Would you say combat/character build depth is simpler then Wo Long, similar to Wo Long or is it more in-between Nioh 2 and Wo Long?

You know why That's idiotic? Whoever said that played the game 3-4 hours. its a 40-60 hour game. Literally 3 percent lmaoo That opinion is discredited completely as they shouldve said "I'm only few hrs in we'll see about builds ect". Even nioh 1 you had nothing much in same time. You unlocked it much later in the game. Wolong didnt have skill trees btw another great point. Only with magic stuff.Ronin has trees lol

I dunno.. the moment you mentioned a really great character creator in which you customize TWO players... that alone peaked my interest loll Though, setting wise. I would have preferred a Yokai infested open world.. I think they have extremely creative Yokai designs from Nioh that (I dont care lol) would have loved copied and pasted here, but just reinvented for open world setting.. Human enemies are fun. Yokai enemies are interesting to me...

Super excited for this, I’ve seen a lot of hate around it already but that seems to be from people that either have never played a team ninja game or are major ghost of Tsushima fans and constantly compare this to that even though team ninjas combat is wayyy different from ghost. But most of the reviews I’ve seen from people that are actually fans of past team ninja games seem to like it, to me it looks like open world nioh without the demons, that’s an automatic buy for me. One thing that keeps jumping out at me in the gameplay every time I see it is how unrealistic striking a downed enemy looks. It’s like if you stab a downed enemy and the damage from said stab isn’t enough to be lethal they are automatically thrown up on their feet as your weapon connects. It’s bothering tf out of me

We weren't able to test it for the preview. But I believe you'll be able to Co-Op in those missions I mentioned that you have to manually start as you can add allies there. I'll definitely test it for my final review :)

You are comparing one of the biggest game developer studios on this planet, Rockstar Games, with a AA niche studio owned by a AA publisher. Rockstar Games has more money for marketing than most studios have for developing a game. Rise of the Ronin is not a Sony first party AAA game. Its a Koei Tecmo game. Sony only has the publishing rights and they paid for localization and dub languages. This game is not a Sony project. Under its hood, its still a Nioh / Wo Long AA budget game, funded by Koei Tecmo. And Koei Tecmo is not a AAA publisher. Just take a look at their games. So basically Rise of the Ronin is how FF7 Rebirth would look like with half of its budget.

I don't think it's a Soulslike at all. Unless everything with third person combat is a Soulslike. This plays much closer to Ghost of Tsushima, Assassin's Creed, or Sekiro. It's nothing like a Soulslike.

This game is more considered to be an action rpg. Trust me cuz I’m not into souls like game either.
